How many nights did you stay for your first solo trip? I'm toying around with the idea of a solo trip, but not sure about any of the aspects. I am trying to get over the guilty feeling of leaving DH and the 2 kids at home.

5 days, but two were spent on business stuff. 3 days in the parks alone. Riding Haunted Mansion over and over was nice, but I felt more lonely being alone at WDW than I do anywhere else.
:flower:

My very first solo trip was just two nights. I arrived after work on Friday (it was after midnight when I checked in) and left for home on Sunday morning. It was a surprise gift from my family, a "Mom's weekend." But my first trip that I planned out was 3 full days and my longest was last year, 6 days. Never had a solo trip that was too long!

My first,in fact every trip, has been 6 nights(arriving one day early) with five days in the parks. One day in each park, hopping around to catch all the night shows I can. The fifth day is spent catching things in parks I skipped, tours, or DTD. Dont feel guilty, I'm thinking that with two kids, that you probably deserve a vacation!

I don't have kids and am comfortable traveling solo, so that wasn't a big deal for me. My first trip was 5 nights. Arriving after midnight Friday and leaving 5am on Wednesday. Next solo trip was 11 nights. :)

I'd suggest a long weekend - just to get away. Go on a Friday, come back on Sunday afternoon or Monday morning. It might be hard, but if it's something you're seriously considering, you might just enjoy swimming without having to watch over anyone, eating at a restaurant your family wouldn't want to go to, and doing things at your own speed.

Cheers!

3 nights the first time but it felt longer (in a good way). I did sooooo much and was so relaxed. I would have sworn I was away for a week!

left the disney hating hubby at home with the sons and diabetic cat.

solo trips are fun........you don't have to cook for anyone, clean up after your family, and you can eat whatever you want when ever you want........topping off with you can watch the disney channel preview all the time.....no espn or sports....
