How long to use AKV '07 developer points

If I opt to get the AKV '07 developer points (instead of the $8 discount), and my use year is Oct, how long to I have to use those points before I forfeit them--until the end of May '08? April '08?

I'm waiting for a call back from my guide about purchasing points, but I haven't made up my mind which way to go yet. . .

My understanding was the Dev Points all expire 7 months from 1 Feb. So you have to use them by 1 Sept. That they wheren't linked to your UY at all.

But people here where saying you could use them replace points you've already used.

I was told mine expire Sept 3, 2007 7 mos from my contract date.

Then I guess it's 7 months from the contract date. I have to say I wanted the $8 off and not the dev points, so I didn't look into them very closely.

Both promotions end at the end of the month, right? So it sounds like all the dev points would expire by 28 Sept.

I don't know when the developer point incentive ends, but I believe both the price increase and the end of the $8 incentive is later than March.

Now that you mention it, my guide didnt mention the Developer points either. She said no points until 2007 and 8 off. I brought up the developer points and then she agreed and gave me the details

We need more points for our Family Reunion, so we are looking at adding on more SSR or AKV.

Given they can't be banked, the discount is a better deal for those that can't use the points before 1 Sept. As someone else pointed out in another thread, you might be able to sub them in an existing reservation or rent them out.

I doubt they can be transferred but you can reserve nights from each master contract and link the two reservations.
