How long to tie dye

How long will take me to actually do the dying part of my shirt? I have them all tied. I'm just wondering how long it will take to do the dying. I have to plan around when DH will be gone since it's a surprise for father's day.

How many shirts are you doing? Squirting the dye on them takes maybe 5-10 minutes per shirt, depending how meticulous you are. Then you need to let them sit for 4-8 hours or overnight, depending on how vibrant you want your colors to be. Then the rinsing is probably 5-10 minutes per shirt. After that I ran them through a wash cycle and dryed them in the dryer. Good luck and please post pictures of them when they are finished. I love to see other people's work.
