How long to take the monorail from TTC to Epcot?

We are staying at the Poly and would walk over to the TTC. I am trying to figure how much time of a midday break it would take going either direction.

Once you board it is roughly 5 minutes to the Epcot entrance (note I've never timed it, that's just a best guess). And then a 5-10 minute walk from TTC to wherever in Poly.

On edit, Googlemaps says that it takes 10 minutes from Epcot to TTC on the monorail. That seems a bit long to me but who am I to argue with Googlemaps.

And, on the trip from TTC to Epcot, the loop inside Future World adds 2 full minutes to the trip, on top of just the distance from the TTC station to the park.

Thank you! So if I need to be at the inside of epcot near guest relations by 8:15(for a tour), any guess on what time I should be at the TTC? I am thinking 7:45?

Yeah, at the latest. Train runs every 10 minutes, then a 10 minute trip, then a (minimum) 5 minute or so walk from the monorail exit to the gate (then go through security) and to guest relations. If you just miss a train then you are looking at 30 minutes by the time a new one arrives and you are at guest relations. I would probably give myself another 5-10 minutes if you have to be there at 8:15 and can't be a few minutes late.
