Could those of you who have tried this give me some pointers.
I am organizing a trip for Dec. 2003 and we will be coming from a long way off, hawaii. I will The 1st day or so will be jet lag recovery time.. Here is the plan\\

4 nights at the AKL and then switch and do 6 nights at the Grand Floridian.

Is that enough time at each resort to manage the switch ??
We have been there once 4 years aga at the YC , but my then 3 year old daughter was sooo sick with influenza we only spent 1 day in the park. So although I have been there I don't know too much about WDw other than the medical help available and how wonderful the staff is in a crunch!!!!

Thanks so much for any input///

Aloha

In my opinion I think that is a goos split for the 10 days. Hope you have a good time and your daughter stays well. :D

I agree, that's a good plan. AKL is wonderfully relaxing, especially if you have jet lag. Just curious, how many hours is your trip going to take?

The trip from here to WDW will take about 14 to 16 hours depending on lay over time. there is a time change as well, we are 5-6 hours earlier than Florida, so we definitely don't get up too early for the first few days..!!

Do you think that is a long enough stay to get everything in???

It's plenty of time to do everything and at a pace that won't be too rushed. In reality, it depends on what type of passes you are purchasing. With a 4-day, it would be hectic. But since you are staying 10 days, I assume you will be entering the theme parks a majority of those days. Also the hotel splitting should be fine. Just don't plan to do too much on the day of the move. Maybe plan that as a semi-rest day. Have fun.

You should be able to see alot in 10 days, but everything? That will depend on how much you want to see, and there is plenty. I have been going 7 - 8 days for the last 3 years, and there is still lots more for me to see and do.
