How long to plan for parks?

Hi All

We are going to WDW this Jan for 9 nights and I am wondering how long should I plan to spend at the AK. This will be my first time going with a child as young as 6 and the first time I have been since the AK opened. I know that we will spend the majority of the time at MK which is fine by me, I want to live on Main street.

IMHO AK is a one day park (if not less).

I agree with Erin. AK can easily be done in one day, if not a 1/2 day, especially with a young child. Do allow plenty of time for the Boneyard play area though. My kids loved that. Dinosaur is probably too intense, but Triceratops Spin is perfect for that age. It's really just a green, horned Dumbo but no long wait!
