How long to plan for Pandora at night?

How much time should I plan to set aside walk through Pandora at night? Is 15 - 20 minutes enough time? We will have already gone on both Pandora rides, gone to the gift shop and eaten at Satu'li Canteen. We are going on an evening in August when sunset is at 7:55 pm and we will (hopefully), have a FP+ for ROL with an arrival window of 8:05 - 8:35 pm. Was hoping to see some of Pandora at night and then high tail it over to ROL by 8:20 pm.

If you don't think this will work, please let me know! I will then have to decide between seeing Pandora at night or seeing ROL. Thanks!

That might work.

That should be doable. It'll be a quick stroll, but you'll get a feel for it in 15 min.

One other thought- with sunset at 7:55, there's still going to be light in the sky for about another hour. You'll want to look up civil dusk times to find out when it'll be dark. I've been in the land at both sunset and night, and it's really best when it's really dark.

We saw both dusk and nighttime. Both were impressive, but seeing Pandora in total darkness is more impressive than dusk.

Hmm, ok. So I may have to choose between Pandora when it's dark or ROL . . . I'm not sure what to do. We'll probably be back again in December so I just need to choose which one I want to do on this trip. Thank you!

Why not pop over after ROL? If EMH is running, the area will still be open. Even if it isn't, the area is likely still open- the staff just won't be letting people into the ride line if it's after park closing time. In any case, seeing it at sunset is still better than not at all- Disney has the bioluminescent stuff on at that time.
