Going Down on 17th  but just finishing up my times and worring over my planning. Can anyone give me aprox. times on how long to plan for a few of our TS meals? These are the ones that we are trying to get somewhere after dinner by a certain time so any help will be great.

How long do these meals usually take:
Ohana 6:30 ressie:
Yachtsman 5:30 ressie:
Boma 4:45 ressie:
Crystal Palace 5:45 ressie:
Narcoossees 7:25 ressie:
Wispering Canyon Cafe 5:00 ressie:

Thanks so much!!

I'd plan an hour and a half at the TS meals, and two hours for the signatures. It may take a little less then that depending on how fast you eat, or a little more if you have to wait to be seated or something. Ohana probably won't take more then an hour or so, same for Boma, unless you want to take your time.

Agree 1 hour to 1.5 hours. I've found service to be very quick and good. If you are doing a character meal you may want to give yourself some more time. For example, the Tusker House breakfast took longer because we were waiting for the characters to come around.

We allow for 90 mins for each TS meal..Some you will be out way before, and some you may not. This allows for cushion if you are seated late ,service is slow or you want to linger

I agree, I always plan 90 minutes for a TS meal, 2 hours at a Signature. I suppose you could hurry, but part of the enjoyment is a relaxing meal.

I would figure about an hour for Boma and WCC. I would figure in 90 mins for CP. I would figure between 2-2 and a half hours for the signatures. 'Ohana is a tricky one, while the meal itselt should take about 75 mins or so, there is no telling how long after your ADR time you might have to wait. Some get seated pretty quickly, others it has taken almots an hour after their ADR time. For a 6:30 ADR, I wouldn't plan on getting out of the restaurant before 9, with getting out any earlier being a bonus, just to be on the safe side.

We always plan on 1 1/2 hours for TS and 2+ hours for character meals.

I'm another vote for 90 mins. That's what we averaged over the last 9 nights :)

I've definitely found that meals at WDW take us significantly longer than they would take out in the "real" world. If you are usually a leisurely diner, I would add even more time to the estimates above.

Thanks so much for the advice. One more question, how early does everyone arrive to check in for their ressie? Is 30 mins early about average?
Do you ever get seated early?

We usually get there about 15 mins early as is recommended and are usually seated pretty quickly, although some restaurants have always and will always run late. If you are feeling antsy or hungry you can always check-in earlier and hope they can seat you earlier, but often you will still wait until your ADR time (or after).

When I see threads like this (and there are a lot of them), I always wonder if these people can relax and enjoy any of their experiences. Or are they always focused on the NEXT activity? My theory is that if you try to pack too much into your vacation, you may end up not enjoying any of it.

We generally arrive 15 mins early.Sometimes we get seated early, sometimes on time and SOMETIMES LATE..If free dining is going on restaurants seem to run behind more, so I try to get there a little earlier. The last trip during Free Dining we arrived early only to be seated later than our adr times at pretty much all of our dining ressies.
