We have a FP for ToT at 7pm. The park closes at 7:30. If we get in line right at 7pm and then leave immediately following, can we make it to our 8:30pm reservation at HDDR? I'm getting nervous that I need to change the FP but dont want to mess up and risk not getting the FP.

I don't think the park will actually be closing at 7:30 if your FP+ time starts at 7PM.

To be safe, I'd allow 90 minutes to get to the Hoop.

Don't forget, if you take the bus from DHS to Ft. Wilderness, you then have to take the internal bus at Ft. Wilderness all the way around to Pioneer Hall.

Also factor in that a 7 PM FP doesn't mean you will actually get on the ride immediately. You will more than likely have a wait after you get in the FP lane.

You could Uber from your resort too after you get back but you'd still need to use the internal FW bus. From POR we give ourselves 90 minutes. Your plans are tight given they recommend coming early and pictures.

When I checked the FP time it says 7:00-7:30 because of the park closing at that time. We are driving to the parks. Do y'all think we could do 1 hour if we drive? If it takes 30 minutes for the FP that leaves is leaving the park at 7:30 with everyone else!

Same issue as taking the bus, you would need to take the internal bus at Ft. Wilderness to Pioneer Hall.

Any reason why you can't move that FP+ reservation up a smidge?

1. Very unusual.
I'm not sure why they would do that.

2. Not a good time to be trying to exit the park.
Have you ever driven to Ft. Wilderness?
It's a very long way from DHS.

Once you park and get to the bus stop, you need to pick the correct internal bus- the one that will be stopping at Settlement sooner. (Ask the bus drivers.)
Then, that bus will make multiple stops on the way to Settlement. Then, you must walk to Pioneer Hall and check-in and
get your photograph. Then, line up to be seated in the Hall.

A few things to consider:
Because of the library pre show, the wait for ToT is at minimum 15 minutes, plus the ride time of 5 minutes. (20)
DHS closing at 7:30 means that everyone is heading for the exit or Fantasmic. You will be walking against Fantasmic crowds. 15 minutes to get out of the park. (35)
5 minutes for the tram car to get you to your car (40)
Another 30 minutes in car traffic to get to Buena Vista Dr(70)
10 minutes drive to Ft Wilderness parking lot (80)
10 minute wait for internal bus (90)
5 minutes on the bus. (95)

With a FP at 7, you'll arrive at 8:35, if you're lucky. Check in for Hoop De Doo is at 8:15.

If you leave at 7, you'll get there early though - because the crowds won't be leaving yet and there won't be traffic.

Fractions of an hour are normal for end of the day FP+ times when getting a 4th FP+. But I've never attempted that for one of my 1st 3 FP+

Thank you this helps! I did move the FP up.

We have a 6pm FP for Star Tours which we may not even use so I guess we will plan to leave after we ride that. If we leave by 6:30-6:45 we should be fine and not rushed. I need to leave time for "Disney melt downs" from the kids (or adults) in the group. There are 11 of us so it may be hard to round everyone up if we are rushed and stressing about being late. Thanks for the help! This was an awesome eye opener. I moved the FP to 3:30.
