How long to get the Visa gift card from buying AKV? Got it today, update post 29

I signed the paper work back on the 8th of September, so should I be looking to get the $500 gift card soon? I thought I would have had it by now, but maybe I was expecting too much?

I am waiting for one also, I did an add on in September that closed on October 10th. The paper work states it will be mailed approximately 30 days after the deed has been recorded so I expect mine soon.

You should it get it no later than 45 days after your official closing date. I bought 9/12 and closed on 9/23, so I should get it no later than 10/15. I e-mailed them a couple weeks ago about it.

We bought in about the same time as you. Will you please let us know when you receive yours? We've been looking for the gift cards in the mail too.

Well, I feel a bit better knowing that I am not the only one waiting. If I do not hear anything by the end of next week I will follow up.

Well, I feel special now. We did an add-on on Sept. 19th and received our 2 gift cards 21 days later, just in time for the trip we booked with the developer points on Oct 16-21.

I was really surprised at how quickly we got them considering we were told it would be 30 days after closing, and our closing date was sometime in mid-October. The 2 cards arrived via Fedex and the PIN numbers to activate them arrived the next day via snail mail.

Wow that was really a quick turn around time. Perhaps its faster when you are doing an add on as opposed to a new owner. I'll just keep checking the mail.

Still waiting here too Started process by phone 9-24, closed about 2 weeks ago, anxiously awaiting my giftcard....LOL. What is everyone spending theirs on?? I think we are either going for groceries for a couple months (I am a really good bargain shopper) or going ahead and paying down our DVC loan with it. Nothing better than free money to pay bills IMO.

I am planning on using mine towards park tickets for my son and daughter in law as Christmas presents. We are all going next year and to save them some money I figured I'd buy the tickets.

Yes, I think I will. It seems to be hit and miss with people getting their cards. I was going to wait until I got back from my upcoming trip, but I am going to call tomorrow to see what timeframe I can expect.

I called my guide this morning and he is out until Tuesday, so I left a message so hopefully he will be able to take a look at my info tomorrow.

The charge on our credit card for our down payment (new owners) occurred on Sept. 10. We just received our gift card today - via Fed Ex, and you need to be there to sign for it.

We bought at the end of September, closed Oct. 24 and today the Fedex man delivered my Visa Gift Card - yay!!!! Pretty good considering we live in Mexico!

You are in about the same timeframe of purchasing as I was, so maybe mine is on its way too.
