I have adrs all over the place wanted to know how much time should i allow to get to my adrs using all disney transportation. i know its hard to say but in general how time do all of you allow if coming form the resort

I am staying there also and had the same question I found the answer on the Transportation thread, I will see if I can find it, I thought I had saved it:)

I try to get out to the resort bus stop at least an hour before our reservation time because you never no how long you are going to have to wait for buses, monorails, etc.

As a rule of thumb, figure the time you think it will take you, and double it.
Take a taxi if you are really pinched for time.
I would figure a minimum of an hour. But it could be up to 1.5, depending on where you are leaving and going. (Going from one resort to another takes much longer.)
And you never know when transportation will break down -- from monorail to bus.
I have not been on a bus that broke down. However I have been on plenty of stalled monorails. Once it took the monorail we were on 45 minutes to get from MK to Epcot. (And that is not including time waiting. That time was on the monorail.) :dance3:

When going resort to resort sometimes a Taxi is worth the money.

In March i was at Pop and needed to go to the Yacht Club. On the way there i took the Disney buses via DTD and it was about 50 mins to get there. On the way back i needed to get back to Pop asap so i took a cab and it was like 8 dollars and maybe 5 mins.

We have now the past 2 times taken our renta car to the parks, DTD and other resorts and we stayed at POP we use the AAA diamond parking pass and get a little closer to the gate except fot the MK I would take the resort bus. POP is centrally located so doesn't teke much time to getto any one place but I would leave at least 1 hr ahead because you never know if you just missed the bus and when the next will be there. We always got there early and checked in 10-15 min early and sometimes they can take you right in. Doin the same this Sept. I'm getting to know my way aroud pretty good now.:cool1: :hippie:

If you are trying to go resdort to resort, it takes much longer than you can expect.

Youhave to go to a theme park or DTD to transfer

I do not recommend going to DTD to transfer. You end up making 2-3 stops at DTD and then if the water parks are still open, you end up stopping at Typhoon Lagoon.

Also, if you just missed the bus, you may have a 20 minute wait at the bus for the next one.

Once you arrive at the location, depending on where you are eating, it may take quite a while to get there too. From the bus stop at Epcot to France, Iwould estimate a 30 minute walk. You have to get into the park then all the way to the back.

So general, from resort to theme park, budget 1-1.5 hrs to allow for delays, entry into the park and then getting to your destination.

For resort to resort, depending on where you are, it can be 1-5-2 hrs worse case scenraio.

It is best to try to be at a park closest to your resort destination. So if youa re eating at the Poly, try to be at the MK that day.

Taxi's can also be your friend. :thumbsup2 Especially on the way home when everyone is extra tired
