We have early morning reservations at Tusker House. I have decided that we should drive over there that day. How long is the drive from the Fort?

48 more days until we are at the Fort!!!! :cheer2:We have never been to the campground but I feel like I have from reading all of the posts on here and seeing all of the pictures. I am sure the pictures do not do it justice though.

It will take 5-10 minutes to get out to the road. Then turn left out of the Fort, right onto Bonnet Creek Parkway, Right onto Buena Vista Drive, then follow the signs. It should take another 10-15 minutes at that time of day.

Don't go too early. From what I understand, the parking lot at AK doesn't open as early as other parks. Probably to protect the animals from the early morning noise and exhaust fumes.

Once in the park, it should take about 10 minutes from your car to the restaurant.

Have a great time. The Fort is the greatest and we can't wait until we're back in December!!!

I agree with the 30 minute drive (includes a little extra time for traffic) and 10-15 minute walk to Tusker house depending on your mobility.
