How long to do all the rides in Future World?

DH and I will be making our first trip over to the "other side" in January, and I'm trying to plan out our days at the parks. We'll only have 3 full days to spend there. Our first full day we're going to be at Epcot, and I was wondering how long it takes to do all the rides in Future World?

After doing all the rides, I thought we could tour the World Showcase, and then head back to the Coral Reef for our dinner ADR.

Anyway, knowing how long it takes to do all the rides in FW will help me plan our day a little better.

Also, are there any rides that just aren't worth our time and we should skip?

Well, for the rides themselves, I can help you out. Adding in wait times, which are quite variable, would make it impossible to say... could take all day, could be a morning. The times below assume you basically can walk onto the ride.

Universe of Energy - about 45 minutes
Mission:Space - about 10 minutes
Test Track - about 10 minutes
Journey into Your Imagination - about 10 minutes
Soarin' - about 10 minutes
Living with the Land - about 15 minutes
Finding Nemo - 5 minutes
Turtle Talk - 15 minutes
Spaceship Earth - 15 minutes

Of course, your wait times will add considerably to those times above, plus walking to and from the pavilions will also figure in. On my last trip in Oct, we were able to do Future World completely over the course of one evening (say 3 hours), and one morning-afternoon (say another 6 hours).

As for what to skip, and I hate to say it, but Universe of Energy is *really* feeling dated now, and it sucks up most of an hour. Everything else, though, is worth a try, especially Soarin', Test Track, Mission:Space, and the Nemo stuff at the Seas.

It's definitely going to depend on the crowds the day you are there.

Universe of Energy and Journey into your imagination will have not line's usually so those are easy to do. The rest of them could vary, especially soarin and test track.

The only other attraction that wasn't listed above was honey I shrunk the audience which is about 30 min.

With good fastpass use you could definitely get everything done and have ample time to walk around the world showcase, it will just depend on the crowds.

That's helps me out a lot. We won't be doing Turtle Talk this trip though (it'll just be DH and I this trip, plus we've seen that at DL).

The rest of the rides I'd like to do if possible. We're planning on going to Epcot on Monday, January 22nd, so hopefully crowds will be low that day, but you never know.

I went to EPCOT on Fri, Nov 3. We didn't get there until about 11 a.m. Still, we rode Mission Space (3 times), Soarin' (4 times), Spaceship Earth, Test Track (twice), Journey though the Imagination, before 3 p.m. when the Food and Wine Festival people starting streaming in.

If the crowds aren't there, it is possible to be bored in Future World after a few hours. I love Soarin' but riding it 3 times in two hours kind of takes the excitement off of it.

Future World: Ellen's Energy Adventure - 18 minutes, but add about 27 if you come in at the beginning of the preshow; Spaceship Earth - 15; Test Track - 5, but add about 5 for the preshow; Journey into Imagination with Figment - 5; Honey I shrunk the Audience - 17; Soarin' - 6; Living With The Land Boat ride - 18; Nemo Clamshells - 4; Turtle Talk - 10.

World Showcase rides: River of Time - 9; Maelstrom - 10.
World Showcase shows: Canada - 18; American Adventure - 30; France - 18; China - 14.

It certainly depends on crowd levels, your walk times, etc. I think most of the above posters have given you basically ride length times - but not factored in how long it takes to get from one attraction to the other. Then there are also bathroom breaks, food, etc. So all that adds up considerably. During a low crowd time, yeah, you can ride TT more than once, with minimal wait. During a busier time, you'll probably wnat ot fastpass it -in which case you 'll lose time getting the Fastpasses, then walking back to the attraction. During busier times, you'll wait for everything, including food and bathrooms - so everythign take s alot longer. Also, at an attraction like Universe of Energy, it will take longer depending on when you arrive. The above posters have also skipped over Innoventions. You could probably spend hours in there alone, if you looked at each thing.

So in theory, you could spend nearly an entire day just in Future World. Ourlseves, we usually plan on spending two days in Epcot covering the park, but hitting TT, and Maelstrom more than once - and eating in the WS showcase on both days (though one day is mostly about FW, and the other combines WS with the Boardwalk). I should mention that we are not slow walkers either.

Another big factor will be the "recovery time" from intense rides like Mission: Space, depending on your stamina for thrill rides. While the ride itself was fun, I sat on a bench for about an hour recovering from it, as I felt sick for a little while.
