How long to check-in at GF

I have to check in at the GF early on a Sunday morning to get our park tickets (7 day land/sea package). How long should it take me to chexk in at the GF around 7:45am? (I won't check in for the cruise at this time just the hotel.)

It's hard to say, because there are so many variables: how many CM's staffing the desk, how many people in line in front of you, etc. There may be a small line, not because people will be checking in at that hour, but people may be checking out. The lines could be longer if, for example, they have a big convention or other group in house that's checking out. Once you get to the desk, provided it's a straight forward check in, it usually takes about 10 minutes start to finish. It shouldn't be that busy at that time, but it could be. If you are trying to get somewhere else by a certain time (dining ressie, rope drop, etc.,) I would allow at least 30 minutes and hope for 15.

We checked in at the GF at about 8:00 am a couple of years ago. We had the free dining package with park tickets.

There was only one cast member at the check-in desk, but we were the only people checking in. It took about 5-10 minutes. After that a porter drove us in a golf cart to our building and brought our bags up, which took a couple of extra minutes because my DH was parking the car, so the porter drove out to pick him up and bring him back to the room.

This was probably the best check-in experience we've had at WDW.

We just checked in on Friday morning around 8AM at GF and got David to check us in and he was wonderful. It took no time at all. We even made 9AM Ohanas ressies.
