And what exactly is the process like?

Is it quicker if we buy the vouchers beforehand?

TIA!!! :)

(Getting premiums, so no worries about buying on blackout dates or using the $30 off deluxe...)

If you purchase an AP you will get a voucher. Then you must go to the bank on Main Street to get the actual AP.

They do not process them at the gate.

Thank you! So then it would be faster to purchase the AP online and take the voucher to the gate and then proceed to the bank. (as opposed to buying the voucher from the "ticket booth" outside the gates)

How long to allow at the bank, then?

You will still need to check in and give them your info, then they give you an entry pass to go to the bank to get your picture and receive your ap. Either way you need to wait for someone but hopefully they'll be quick for you guys :) Our guy was on top of it and was very quick!

Well, if you are going in the next 2 weeks, You may want to buy them at the Bank to avoid the tricky waiting for them to be mailed from the DL.com Pre-Order page.

However if you have a couple of months then order the Vouchers, which still need to be exchanged before getting to the Gates, and if you have AP ressis you will need the AP at check in.

Must being having an off day :headache: Who would I "check-in" with?

Not going til May actually :sad1: just like to plan in advance.

You can check in at guest services or a ticketbooth. We just walked right up to a booth and the guy did everything. We just handed him our licenses since he pretty much just needed our address and birthdays and it was faster for him to just look at them and enter the info then have to stop and ask. I would order them online in advance since you can get 30 off the deluxe right now :)

Thank you for the info about checking-in. So after the ticketbooth (and giving the CM your info) you have your AP and are ready to tour the parks then?

Oh and we're getting premiums since we can only visit on the weekends. Wish we could do the $30 off deal :)

No, once you give them your information they will give you an entry pass into the park. So then you will enter the park and head to the bank on mainstreet. There you will get your picture taken :) Then you have your ap! Doesn't take too long though.

got it, thanks for the help and patience! :teacher:

You know, you might want to consider the $30 deal anyway. Why? Because the Deluxes *might* be encoded with the $269 instead of the $239 you paid, and that *might* save you $30 from your Premium.

I just did the $30 off deal last week. For ANYONE buying online, just do the e-ticket deal, don't have anything mailed to you, that's just silly! Choose the e-ticket, making sure your Adobe version is up to speed and you can get the ticket with the bar code.

Then you take that sheet of paper, walk right up to the gates and hand it over when it's your turn. They will print out a ticket-like voucher at that moment.

When I did this, the price listed on my voucher ticket-thing was $269, NOT the $239 I paid. Although I did not change it to a Premium, it *seemed* like it *might* be encoded with that $269. If it is encoded with that, then that saves a person $30 on the Premium.

IMO it's worth trying! Of course, keep that $30 aside just in case I'm totally wrong. :goodvibes

Anyway, once you turn your paper in to the gate CM and get your ticket-shaped voucher, you can probably just use that for the day for hopping and for FP machines and such.

When I turned in my $30 off Deluxe paper for a voucher, they were letting us in half an hour before rope drop, and the "bank" (ap processing center) was already open. There was no line, so I just jumped in. Since I had an AP before (expired in September) they had my pic on file and they just verified my address and printed out the card with my old pic and I was done!

In September '07 it took a tiny bit longer as they needed names, address, and payment (we upgraded from our tickets) plus taking the pictures, but it was still literally only minutes to do it all (again, we went in when there was NO line).

We had a bit of a wait at the Bank when we got our Premium annual passes in october. I hope we don't in december. They seemed to be having trouble with one of the cameras and so the line was long.

I just bought the same passes for our 3 grandchildren and my mom... and i had them email us..so we printed it out and when we go to the park..we just show them the passes at the gate and head for the bank for pictures and cards.

i hope You have a short wait and a happy trip!:goodvibes
