I'll be doing my first character breakfast (1900 Park Fare) and was wondering how much time to allow for this. Does it take a full hour or are you out of there in 30 to 45 minutes?

You are probably going to want to allow for at least an hour; that will give you time to see all the characters and to eat :)

Even dealing with 3 kids (2 of them needing diaper changes), our character breakfasts typically ran 60-70 minutes.

If you want to save time, see if you can get your server to settle the check as soon as you get seated -- then you won't have to wait around at the end if you're otherwise ready to go.

On average any TS meal should be planned for 90 minutes. If it works out to be less time then it's a bonus.

Most our our character meals took at least an hour and most took closer to 90 minutes.

I think it depends on your location and perhaps even time of year. We only did one parks character breakfast last week- Tusker House at AKL. We had the 8:00 AM reservation, saw all the characters, took pictures (no autographs this year), and were out at 9:00 AM, ahead of the rope drop crowd for the Safari ride. However, the resort character breakfast meals - CM and Park Fare were much longer. It took Mad Hatter and Alice well over an hour to get to our table at Park Fare. We have had better luck in past years when we usually go in October.

I say 60-90 mins depending on whether you are at the first seating of the day or not. 8:00 adr's prob 60 mins 9:00 prob 75 mins

Character meals for us have been 60-90 mins. We are always done and waiting on characters to come around. We only have 1 kid and we seat her out so characters can come up behind her. I have camera ready and we don't do autographs- so we spend maybe 45 seconds with each character. I think the longest we ever had was the step mother at 1900 Park Fare she messed with dd stuffed horse for 3 or 4 mins.

I just got back from staying for a week at the GF, I had 8 am reservations for 1900 Park Fare and I would say it took us about an hour to see Tigger, Pooh, Alice, Mad Hatter, and Mary Poppins. I would say that the breakfast was definitely top 2 of all the places we ate there, it's really really good!

Allow a minimum of 90 mins..Most times we were out in about 60-70 mins, but there were a few times we got seated later than our adr etc that had us there for about 2 hrs..Rare but it can happen

It seems as if you eat breakfast in 20 minutes, then wait for an hour for the characters to come around? I've done dinners before and it seems as if it takes longer to eat a dinner and dessert so you'd see the characters while you are eating. Do you just sit and wait after you are done eating?

I agree with the rest - we always "budget" 90 minutes for meals, to be on the safe side - the quickest we ever had was CRT breakfast and we were out in 45 minutes.

We've always had some of the characters show up while we were eating. And it takes 15-20 minutes to order and get your food at the non-buffet places - like CRT, for example, so we saw characters while we were waiting for our food.

Usually we are just about finished eating by the time the last character is arriving. We actually saw 2 full rounds of characters when we were at Park Fare for breakfast last time.

Yup. When we were at Park Fare breakfast last week, Pooh and Tigger came to our table twice long before Mad Hatter and Alice made it once. They kept girls entertained. We were done eating and just waiting for them. Now, Alice and MH interacted well with each other and put on a good show, but it took a really long time.
