How long to add on points at sold out resort?

Our 50 points a BCV (april UY) came available on Mon. We had been waiting since Dec! I find it interesting that they came available April 1-that way no points from the previous use year! Glad we got them before the price increase. One great thing about buying through Disney-I've already booked with the new points. With our TSS add on it took almost three months start to finish!

Just got a voice mail message from my guide. Got my remaining 50 BWV December UY points, retroactive to December 2006. F&W 2008, here I come!!

After talking to our guide there was no points at the BCV or BWV for our UY (June) we decided to go and add on at our home resort of VWL.
Our guide also said that we would 'probably' pay the $95 not the increased price if the BWV/BCV points came through after June 1st. We didn't want to take the chance. Plus we have our points on our account now

I just talked to my guide today and asked again and she said we are locked into that price. I asked her to double check and she came back and still said yes we get the 95$ price. So I don't know??

Senecabeach--Sorry, forgot to put time down. It took only 22 days to get my points. The funny thing is, I called Tuesday to ask my guide where I was on the list for the BWV Dec UY points. He told me there were no points for my UY, and he had no idea how long it would take. Magically, they appeared today.

Just left a message for my guide (she told me last week BW is sold out for Oct use year), asking her to put me on waitlist for small add on contract at BWV with my Oct use year. I hope its not too long. But I also emailed timeshare store to let them know I'm in the market for just 25 points. Does timeshare store sell such small contracts? How much would closing be? Does it pay to go resale way when there are no closing costs thru Disney, even though price per point is higher?

The above is a quote from the Q&A section of the TSS.
Its good to be on both lists. See what comes in first, add up "ALL" the costs...then decide.

Most people only see the lower per pt. price and don't take into account the "TOTAL COST" of going reseller...any of them.

Small contracts go quickly and most are not published and are also, I'm told, more $$ in closing costs..so don't think the above minimum ($400.) is what you will be paying...ask the reseller, I don't specifically know.

IMO..when the "total cost" is a few bucks difference...who needs the aggravation.
Why go thru the bartering of negotiations of who pays what, when, re-negotiate price, stress, the wait,
ROFR process and maybe still not get it??

Disney is a pleasurable experience, instant gratification and you will be making ressies....immediately.
Doesn't get much better than that!!

Don't worry about no pts. available now...maybe next week there will be some.
