Hi all,

I called Disney about a week ago asking for more information on DVC, and they said they'd send me promo materials and I'd hear from my guide within 2 or 3 days. Even that seemed kind of long to me since most businesses try to call you within 24 hours, but now it's been a week, and after reading some of the posts, I think, is this normal? Should I call back assuming they forgot me?

How long does it take most of you to hear from your guides?

I want to say that I requested info via the website and they mailed me a little packet of info. I looked it over, called the guide myself and she sent me the big packet of info. I remember waiting anxiously for it. Took about 3 days. Then I called the guide and asked all my questions. That was 2002.

Call DVC at 1-800-800-9100 and ask for the free video and information packet again. It does take longer than you'd think at times, but it won't hurt at all to just call them again.

In the meantime, just ask any questions right here! :)

Our guide has usually calls back the same day, and if not, the next day at the latest. We originally asked for materials on a Saturday and received them via fedex on Tuesday. We had done the tour 3 1/2 years before so we got the bigger packet of info (not just the video). We love our guide. If you want her name, I will PM you.

jnrrt, I had received the VHS tape in January, It took about a month to arrive from the time I requested it. I called this Thursday and talked to a guide. They said that is usually the first mailing and then if the customer calls for more info they FEDEX a larger packet with an info book and finance paperwork basically all the nuts and bolts. I can't wait for mine to arrive on Monday!! If you really want info call back and request the larger pack of info. :flower:

Yes, I already got the tape about a month ago, and this was when I had requested "the big packet", so I think it's odd that it's taken so long, and maybe I was forgotten? So I'll probably call back. Is it a problem to ask for a different guide if they've already "assigned" me to one? They gave me her name because she's the guide of someone at my church.

And thanks, Webmaster Doc, I've gotten a million questions answered here already while waiting for the packet - I probably won't need it when it finally does come!
