How long on waitlist?

How long should we wait on the waitlist before making other arrangements?
We are just getting started with DVC and are on a waitlist for December. I know its still pretty early, but I just wanted to make sure we don't wait too long before we cancel the waitlist and just make another reservation somewhere else.

I would suggest booking something now- whatever is avialable and then keeping te waitlist- if nothing at all is available from DVC that you are willing to stay in then I would book a cash reservation that can be canceled if the wiatlist comes through.
