How long of a walk, BWV to BCV?

We are doing a split stay at the two resorts for the first time in a few weeks. We are doing the DP for the 2nd part while we are at the BWV. Just wondering how long does it take to walk between the two resorts, and roughly how far, distance wise are the two.

I will probably walk over and check us in to the BWV early in the morning of check-in. Will we be able to get room keys with the DP on them even before the room is ready? We would like to use the DP for that full day. We will most likely let disney move our luggage from BCV to BWV, while we head out to Epcot that day. Does this usually go smoothly and roughly what time should we expect the luggage to be transferred?

We are going to be doing a lot of relaxing on this trip, not too many park days, but enjoying the resorts. Since BWV only offers BW bakery as a counter service option, does anyone just walk over to the BCV for HH or Beaches and Cream or the BCV Marketplace? Are there any delectable treats we should not miss out on?

Any and all help is very much appreciated.

TIA
Jacqueline

I would estimate about 1/4 of a mile if you make a left when you exit BC. If you make a right I would say about 1/4 of a mile and three steps. If you were to walk straight about a NYC block between avenues.. Bu being there is a lake you may wnat to invest in shoes that allow you to walk on water.
It is a very short walk....for Disney

I agree that it's really a very short walk between the two resorts.

Sounds like your vacation is going to be much like mine-split between BWV and BCV, with a lot of relaxing. I've often gone over to the BC Marketplace when I was staying at BWV for a snack. If I was coming back from MK, I went to BC Marketplace, got a snack and walked back to BWV. It took me about 10 extra minutes. For the transfer, I just rolled my suitcase over the Boardwalk over to my new resort, and fortunately, even though it was 10:45 am, there was a room ready for me.

The chocolate gelato at The Marketplace is awesome! :-) And in the morning they'll make you a yogurt/fruit/granola parfait to order.

We also walk over to the Dolphin and eat at Picabu occasionally. The Dolphin Fountain is pretty good, too, and usually not as crowded as Beaches and Cream.

I highly doubt that it's better than the gelato at Vivolis in Florence.

Hmmm... excellent gelato, while staying at Disney... I'm not sure Europe is ready to give us service with a smile... I wouldn't be. Sorry, I'm showing my roots... Stop Rob... you've said enough... go to bed.

It's 0.8 miles around Crescent Lake (well OK 0.79!) so it can't be a 1/4 mile each way. ;) But it really is a short walk! When we stay at BCV we think of Boardwalk as next-door neighbors just like Yacht Club.

Thanks again.

Great idea to get off at BCV and walk back to BWV. I will definately try the gelato. Did enjoy that everywhere we went in Florence and Rome. It may not be as good as Italy's but it will be sweet just the same.

Glad to hear it is just a short walk as I hear the offerings for the DDP are much better at BCV.
