How long is your to-work commute?

It takes me 3 minutes to drive to school. My DH has a 35 minute commute, tho.

Well I only have a part-time job because I'm still in college. I work at the Barnes & Noble in my town and it's never any more than a 5 minute drive, which is great.

About three feet....lmao! From my bed to the bedroom door and then to the room across from mine... I take care of two little girls who live with me right now. So my commute is pretty short... :p

However DFiance works 25 miles from home, but atleast he works the overnight so no traffic.

2 whole minutes to go 2 whole miles....but I have learned to hate my job! I once worked home health in which I drove ALL DAY! I put 60,000 miles on a brand new vehicle...my trade in value stunk!

Do what you love because a job that you don't love will only bring you down....FAST!

I stay at home now, but my previous job was 8-10 minutes away; 5 if I could time all the lights right.

past 7yrs have been 4mins ea way

before DS was born I drove 50mins ea way for 12 yrs

45 min - 1 hour each way depending on traffic.

40 miles into Boston, but this is 3-4am with no traffic. I could not do a commute every day in bumper to bumper traffic!

DH commutes about 45 miles into Boston also, but in the afternoon, so no really bad traffic for him.

40 minutes one way (with minimal traffic) at 6:30/6:45am

once took me 2.5 hours to get in on a snowy day

I've worked at the same place for 5 years now...my commute has been 15 minuites, 25 min, 30min, and now I've moved the furthest away at 40 minutes

For 13 years I used to only have to drive half a mile, but took a promotion back in October. Now my drive is either 45 minutes/24 miles if I don't want to pay, or 20 minutes/15 miles if I take the Beltway and pay the tolls. Luckily the raise was more than enough to offset the tolls and the extra gas.

90 minutes for me, each way. It's the price you pay for living in a nice area and working in NYC.

I can do it in 35 minutes at really off hours but normally takes me 45 to 50 minutes. It is not so bad. The biggest downside is of course what time you have to leave in the am and get home at night. If you don't have child care issues, it probably won't bother you too much.

I have found that right about 1 hr is really the limit for me. When I had a commute longer than that it was too much for me.

14.5 minutes if I catch a green light

10 minutes. :)

The job before this one was 60-90 minutes. Loved the job, hated the commute! :(

I work 10 blocks from my job. In the summer it takes 5-10 minutes because of the shoobies(tourists) but in the winter it takes about 3-4 minutes.

12 Minutes. It's one of the best things about the job, sadly. Poor DW has 45 min each way. :(

10-15 minutes. I wouldn't want it to be any longer. It is nice to be able to decompress on the way home from work, but I wouldn't want to take any more time away from my family.
