How long is wine good for after its been opened?

I also prefer the Dom to the Cristal. The Perrier Jouet can be exceptional and depending on the vinatges you are comparing, is often better than the Dom. (The bottles are prettier for sure LOL!)

The 1990 Pommery Louise is supposed to be wonderful. I understand the 1995 is equally good. I'm assuming you mean the Cuvee? I haven't had the opportunity to try that house, some day... :)

My advice--drink it! You can always make a buck, it's not everyday you come across such an exceptional champagne! :cloud9:

Anne, it sounds like you'd be a lot more fun to drink this with than my DH. If I poured him a glass of Riunite, he'd be happy with that while I'm having Opus One. :smooth: Now, if we're sitting outside, his wine may be cheap, but his cigars aren't, so each of us have our vices.

The Coffret Louise is a Cuvee, you are correct. I've got a bottle of '95 Perrier Jouet that we can open if we're thirsty after we finish some other champagne. If we're still thirsty, I have a nice '77 port that we can decant.

Gee, did we hijack this thread, or what!?! Sorry, OP.

I agree, sorry OP! But I'd love to help you with that bottle LOL! My DH is slowly learning to appreciate wine, but he'd still prefer beer. My son is the cigar afficionado.
