I am just wondering how long is the walk from the Hawaii building at the Polynesian to the TTC? I looked at the overhead map from tikimans site and couldn't not tell because the TTC was not included on his overhead map and only saw where he wrote path to the TTC. So if anyone can answer this I would appreciate it.

Just yesterday a dear friend of mine made this walk at a leisurely pace in 9 minutes one way... stopping to take a picture of a flower on the way and helping a lost soul with some directions.

So .. probably less than 9 minutes is my answer.

Off Tikiman's site:

From Hawaii longhouse to the TTC was 5 minutes. Other longhouses could be a few minutes less or more.
Go into MAPS the information is there. Hope this helped.

Visually we found it to be a little further than you would think, but as far as time it is in the range of time already provided. If you have small-very young children it will be closer to around ten minutes. Add another five minutes to walk through security, over to and up the ramp to the monorail load area.

We loved this walk, we always stay in Aotearoa which is the farthest building from the TTC. We would wind our way through the village never taking the direct route, the walk is way too nice, especially at night with the torches lit. Can't wait to get back to the Poly next year.

The 5 minutes we timed was also doing the walk with a 2 year old. If you take the path on the beach side around Tokelau and than between Tahiti and Rapa Nui it should not take you 10 minutes. I do have a shot of the TTC and Tahiti so between that map and the main resort map you can see it is not very far.

I am not sure what security missionmouse is speaking of since every time we have walked over we go right up the ramp.

By the way it took me 7 minutes to walk the length of the resort at a slow pace and stoping to take some photos. 6 minutes on the way back with no stops. I don't believe I walk fast since I was not passing families that I was walking behind. Just to show you the Polynesian is not as big as it seems.

Aloha

I don't consider the Polynesian (or many of the other resort areas) as big as I used to either. I will be doing a photo walk of that area, but not until late May or June.

I have had to show my resort ID on EE mornings (so I guess that could be called security) but aside from that I too have just walked though the gates there to get to the monorial/ferry area.

Oh that makes sense. I don’t get up that early. Still on west coast time ;)
