How long is the walk from RP to the parks?

I've never been to Universal and I wanted to know about the commute from RP to the parks. Is the walk longer, shorter, or the same as from the Yacht Club to EPCOT? Also, how convenient are the boat taxis? Is it convenient to get to RP if you get wet at the park and you want to change clothes or are you just better off carrying extra clothes/waiting till the end of the evening?

I would say the walks are about the same-maybe a little farther going to USF as IOA is first. The boats were pretty convenient, but we found that it was faster to walk (2 adults and a 13 year old). I wouldn't carry clothes with you - isn't that why you stay onsite? You could go back and change in less than 30 minutes.

It was 15 minutes for me pushing a stroller with my 3 year old in it.

I waited a lot for the boat taxis but if I was tired, it was worth it!

Sorry, I can't compare it to the Epcot walk.

It is about the same.

I have timed it & it's about 12-15 minutes to IOA, 15-17 to US. I take the taxi if I'm leaving from RP and it's there, and I take it from US to RP, but not from IOA, it's easier to walk from IOA to RP.

I thought that a person could only walk to the parks from HRH or PBR. Is there now a walking path from RP to the parks?

The path from RPR brings you out at CityWalk by Margaritaville.

They've now added a sidewalk from the self-parking lot to the walk-to-park (passes just inside RPR drive-in entry gate, and joins the path at the first bridge underpass).
Nice short-cut at times.
Love the walk to IOA from RPR!

Yes Barry. And if it isn't busy they will even skip the schedule & take you right where you have to go. One night on our thanksgiving reunuion trip we had just missed the shuttle from PBH going to RP. One of the bellman said don't worry we'll get you back give me a minute. he pulls up with a stretch limo!!! So cool. just ask thenm, I have been shuttled by zebra cart, personal cars, vans and now a limo!

15 Minutes? It's only right there? Took me less then that to walk from the park to Wet n' Wild?

..as it was last October, the walk is a bit much. Take the boat.
