Oops! Sorry - saw HS and though DS! We met the DHS Santa on November 7th.
We went around 3:40. His set was 3:30-4:30...they thought it would be 20 minutes for him but it was closer to 35-40. But it was a really great interaction!! Even for my 12 year old...(no, he doesn’t still believe in Santa..but he does still believe in mommy...and that mommy has laid out some consequences for the 8 year old sister finding out from him!)
Unless things have changed, you can also find Santa in EP at the American Pavilion and in MK when you first enter the park to the left just past City Hall.
As with anything Disney, It depends on when you are planning to do this. There is a huge difference between trying to do this on Wednesday December 5th at 10:00am and Monday December 24th at 3:00pm.
You say "WE are going so I will guess it is not just you and the 2yo. You do not have to all get in line. As I recall there is an exit/entrance near Santa that folks use to access the store (If that hasn't changed). You can wait in line at have somebody keep the baby occupied and then call them when you are near the end.
Have a great trip and maybe try the other Santa's at MK, Epcot, and Disney Springs also, if you have the time.
On Nov 10 the wait was 2 1/2 hours we skipped it even though I had my kids christmas shirts and was going to take picture like last year. Last year wait was 30 min but it was beginning of Dec.
