How long have you waited for an ADR? How long for food?

We are a large party (usually 8) and we are used to waiting a long time to be seated even with an ADR. We have waited more than an hour at Le Cellier and Boma was going to be that bad once, so we just moved over to Jiko where we were seated immediately.

Just a tip for those of you that hate waiting. If you are going to a restaurant that is not open for lunch and you schedule your ADR when the place opens (or close to it) for dinner, you won't have to wait very long. We only waited a couple of minutes to get into 'Ohana. This works well at character meals and meals with kids "activities" where people do more than just eat. Of course, not everyone wants to eat this early and some places are open straight through lunch into dinner so it won't work there.

Our longest wait was 15 or so minutes for lunch at Sci-Fi during free dining last year.

Signature Restaurants tend to be a little more punctual on their ADRs. We never waited more then a few minutes, but on the flip side, places that were one credit like Coral Reef, Chefs de France, horrible, as in over an hour.

The thing that sucks is that there is little you can do. Sure you can complain, but its not like you can leave and just go to the next restaurant, because A) you have no ADR and B) they're probably behind on their ADRs anyway and would be unlikely to accept any walk-ups anyways.

All of these were in OCTOBER!!!!

LTT- for a 7:05 ADR- 45 MINUTES!!!
CRT- for a 9:05 ADR- 45 MINUTES!!!
H&V for a 4:45 ADR- 1 HOUR!!!!!!!

And then our waiter was nonexistant at LTT we got the salad and then sat and sat and sat and finally had to flag him down- I'd say the whole meal took and hour and a half- crazy!

We've had waits from 45 minutes-about an hour past our ADR times at Le Cellier, Chefs de France, Chef Mickey's, Coral Reef, 50's Prime Time, and CRT. However, usually waits are no longer than 15 minutes past the ADR times and frequently we even get in before our ADR time (checking in 20 minutes early, as is our norm).

We went last year during free dining and the 2 longest waits were Coral Reef and LeCellier. Coral Reef was by far the longest at well over an hour. They did inform us that it was going to be a long wait, however....it was so packed in there, we ended up sitting on the floor in the lobby. Fun!

The longest we waited was at California Grill. We waited about half an hour to be seated.
