How long have you been going to WDW?

Now 1996 was the 1st time DH and I went together and stayed on property.

I went to MK in 1973 or 74 and then again 1983 (Epcot too.) After that day trips 1984 to 1992 for spring break trips with youth groups. ( HS and college.)

DH went with family, stayed at Fort Wilderness for 2 weeks at a time every few years and once at Con in 1972 (he was a baby.)

But it wasn't until 1996 started as a family tradtion with DH and I.

One thing I have learned is going for a week and staying on property is much different then day trips and staying off property. (much more intense.)

I was 5 or 6 the first time I went. I really don't remember much about that trip, but we pretty much went every other year since then. Once I got to middle school, it was harder to take vacations, so we went over spring break. I've been to WDW now every year since 2001 (granted it was for one day in 2004, and one day this year!). We just joined the Disney Vacation Club, and have reservations for October. I am soooo excited, so it's looking like we'll still be going to WDW for some time! :thumbsup2 :teeth: :Pinkbounc

Our first trip was Spring Break '98.

We will be going on our 6th trip this June! :)

I was 7 years old when MK opened. I remembered begging my parents to take me, but the money just wasn't available. I made my first trip in May of 2000 -taking DW and our daughter who was 3 at the time. I was 35 years old until I saw the castle as we were riding in on the monorail; then I somehow became 7 years old. If I live to be 100 I'll never forget the feeling of DD tugging on my shirt, pointing, and being so excited -and my being excited right along with her.

DD is now almost 9. We have a DS 6. And we are all WDW freaks :goodvibes We've now been to WDW 6 times.

It was 8 years ago in January when we brought our then 3 kids to WDW for the first time. I didn't really think about it, but I guess that I kind of assumed that we'd go every 5 years or so. We returned in 3 years and I returned 3 more times that year (my first AP) and it was downhill (or is that uphill :rotfl2: ) since then. :teeth:

I went to Disneyland for the first time in 1972 and went several times after that as a teen and several times as an adult before ever going to WDW.

I first visited WDW in 1986 when I was just 2 years old. We only went once every few years, but ever since we joined DVC in March of last year, we've gone twice, with an upcoming trip in May!

My first trip to WDW was December 2003 and I have made 3 trips. My first trip to DL though was in 1965 with many trip since. Will be there again in 2 1/2 weeks. :cheer2: :cheer2:

My first two trips were in the summer of '74.
Though my first trip with my entire family wasn't until '77.:)

We went again in 1990 and stayed off-site at Wilson World. I thought it was the coolest hotel on earth!
Thanks for reminding me about another great memory. We discovered Wilson World in 1986 with our DD's first trip to Disney. We went back two more times after that before starting our on-site stays. I loved the glass elevators, indoor pool and the buffet breakfast. Transportation was awful though.

1972, I think MK had only been open about 6 months or so, I was 15. My Grandparents lived on the Gulf Coast, so my family would make yearly visits and always drive up to WDW for a day.

When we got married in 1980, it was DH's first time. Since I had all the experience, I got to teach him how to do Disney. :teeth:

We went for the first time in 1999.

First trip was in 1982, when I moved to Florida. I remember thinking that it was very strange when friends of ours went there for their honeymoon in 1976; little did I know! :rotfl:

I've been at least yearly since that first trip. Some years I've gone almost monthly.

I went maybe twice when I was under 10, and then I had a long drought. Somehow I had it in my head that Disney was for kids. :rolleyes1 I actually got back into the Disney habit when I was living in Japan and went to Tokyo Disneyland, I was so happy to relive those childhood memories that when I finally moved back to the states, one of the first things I did was to book a trip to Orlando! So in my lifetime, I've gone to WDW seven times, but four of those times have been in the past six years! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

I know I am hooked. Now to get my DH to go with me! :lovestruc

First trip was in around 73 or 74 when I was a teen. Stayed at the Contemporary.

Even though I've been to Florida (to visit friends and work) many times in the 80's and early 90's, I didn't go again until 97. I've been there every year ever since. I was there last Oct and going again this May and then again this Oct/Nov.
