How long has it been since you visited the World?

1 month is too long IMO but to all you DIS-ers out there....how long since you all visited Disney? Me, 7 months, I am going in November after a short trip to Vegas in April, so it will be 16 months.

Our last trip was April 2013 for the F&G Festival and we have been going 2-3 times a year, but with all the flap with magic bands and FP+ we have decided to make other plans this year and give those issues some time to work out kinks/bugs, whatever.

Hello! I just got back on Feb. 20th and we stayed at the Contemporary...it was fabulous, I cannot say one bad thing about it. We checked in on the 16th of Feb. late at night. We had already done the online check in and it went through without a hitch. They were ready for us and we got two great rooms facing the Magic Kingdom. We were on a meal plan (counter service) so we visited the Contempo Cafe immediately as we were famished. The food was delicious. Everything was made to order. The pizza came out with a delicious crisp tan, thin crust and mild tasting cheese oozing...you also could buy wine and beer for a nominal cost which was not on the meal plan. The staff was curteous, always pre-anticipating our needs. At one point we stopped by the desk to ask a question and the concierge person noticed we were out of snacks midway through our stay. They put on a bunch more for our use, without us even asking! The rooms were lovely. Quiet and spacious, they were absolutely clean. You just sank into the beds and the pillows were so perfect! I had ordered a surprise for my daughter to be waiting upon arrival and it was. The stores were great, you could find anything you possibly needed, they had a great selection of pins, sundries, and even popular magazines, which I do not remember Disney properties having a while back. There was plenty of Disney magic and we chose to walk to the MK a few times because it was a lovely walk. All the food that we ate was delicious and we are fairly health conscious. There was fresh fruit to be had when you wanted, and we had a lovely time at Epcot eating at The Land quick service court and Mexico's outside pavilion. Even the fast food at Hollywood Studios was great. My DH and I both had salads and they were delicious. We had NO problem with the fast-pass system, it was so easy to get things done. At one point, our daughter and her two friends missed their time for one of their fast pass attractions, I hesitantly went over to the concierge and they were able to easily make sure she got in with her friends by the time she reached the park. We were able to change our passes so that we got two visits to Toy Story Mania, which was so much fun. The fast pass system is not as rigid as one might think. We bumped into a Disney employee who happened to be involved in the creation of the Fast Pass Plus system and she explained it was put into place because the other way did not seem fair to everyone, people were rushing through the parks to go from one past pass kiosk to the other and now they feel they know better what exactly is happening in the parks. She also told us they do not plan on keeping the Fast Pass Plus system as it stands now but will change it to become more flexible soon. Our MagicBands worked great and offered an ease of service and I was not constantly worried about checking and losing my tickets. I used my Annual Passholder card to get discounts at various stores and food kiosks and I think we ended up saving about $200.00 for the five of us. The whole experience was truly magical. If you have any questions you can ask me, I am happy to provide more info. Oh, we also were able to get into Be Our Guest for lunch because I found this link that allows you to book that from home, i booked it about two weeks in advance of going to Disney World and it was a breeze. Have fun everyone!

My last trip was 17 years ago in August of 1997. Before Animal Kingdom even opened. So I've finally been able to get the money together for a solo trip this Sept/Oct. :hyper:

You were able to book BOG for lunch, from home? We have dinner reservations there, and had lunch there during the 'soft' opening last
year . I'd prefer lunch there again instead if dinner but refuse to wait 1.5-3hrs for anything and will not waste one of the mere 3
FP we are now allocated. Please share the link you have if it is a 'back door' in for lunch reservations!

We were there in November and head back in a few days~ 5 mo. between visits.

The year was 2003, the month was June.
First time being in Florida in June - I'll never forget those thunderstorms!

We were there for 10 days June 2013 at Coronado Springs.... 10 loooooong months ago :(

We were there in February. We are leaving in 4 days!! I can't wait!!! :)

March of 2013 - so 13 months ago! Seems like a lot longer than that! My family is ready to throw our June trip to Yellowstone overboard - in favor of Disney instead!!! They can't wait until December!

Our last family trip to Disney was seven years ago ( although I did visit on a school band trip with my DD five years ago, staying off site). My younger DD talked about being Disneysick (as opposed to homesick) for months afterward. So we have decided to return for our 25th wedding anniversary and bring the girls with us - I can't imagine leaving them out of the excitement, even if it is supposed to be a couple's celebration. We head down in late July - and I cannot contain my enthusiasm! :dance3:

Our last trip was June 2013. Our next planned trip is for June 2015 but we are getting a surprise mini trip in a little over two weeks because my DD's competition cheer team got a bid to The Summit!! Yay for unplanned surprises!!:yay:

Our last trip was October 2013. DH just agreed to go without the kids for our 15th anniversary in May 2015! Let the planning begin. Super excited.

Our last trip was 7 years ago. My DD has been complaining as she went when she was 4, 7 and 10 but has had to wait twice as long this time as she will be 17. At least she will be tall enough for all the rides this time! First trip she was too small for Thunder Mountain, second trip Rocking Rollercoaster and third trip Duelling Dragons!
We are going in June! :yay:  :woohoo: :cool1:

Our last trip was in September 2013, so just over 7 months ago. We will be back in Disney in less than a month! :) Can't wait!

Too long ago!

Let's see... we were last there in Nov/Dec 2012. It's Apr 2014 now, so that's just under a year and a half. My son (not quite 5) asks to go back at least once a week, usually more. Thankfully, we just booked a trip for October! :)
