how long do you typically need to wait before your waitlist comes through? i know it depends on resort and dates too. i've been on the waitlist for the vgf for 2 months now for a december trip. is it too soon to expect a waitlist to come through? i've been debating on adding a 2nd choice but would hate to miss out on gf if im being to anxious!

I am right there with you. I have the first, fourth and fifth day of my trip booked at SSR. I am waitlisted for days two and three and for the whole trip at BLT. I am getting nervous that it will not come through.

VGF is the smallest of the WDW DVC Resorts with a max of 147 rooms. There are 47 dedicated 2-bedroom villas, 47 lock-off 2-bedroom villas and 6 grand villas. The lock-off 2-bedrooms can also be reserved as a 1-bedroom and a studio.

If the trip is near Christmas most people booked that at 11 months. It is possible you wait list may not go through at all.

I would reconsider adding another one or making alternate plans if it does not come through.

I would say that your waitlist for VGF is highly unlikely to go through. If you don't have a back=up reservation you need to make one with anything available unless you are only going if the waitlist comes through.

We were on a waitlist to add one day to our VGF one bedroom reservation on Sept 28. Waited 5 months before we cancelled it and changed our plans.

We are waiting for 1-night at VGF in December. At this point, we are planning on changing rooms our last night (from lake view to standard view) because we do not anticipate the waitlist to come through.

Also, I will likely cancel the request soon, so that I can waitlist a missing night for our May trip.
