How long for Uber/Lyft to arrive?

How long has it been taking for an Uber or Lyft to arrive recently? I know there was a driver shortage for a while. We will be going from Dolphin to MCO between 4 and 5 on a Thursday.

This is such a subjective question. Virtually any answer you get will be no predictor of what you’ll actually experience. But you can fire up the app on the same day and time you’ll want to leave and see for yourself.

It varies a lot based on time of day and like FCDub said, someone else's experience may not be what ends up happening with you. But as for answering your question, last week I took an Uber from MCO to AKL and it took 11 minutes for the driver to arrive (this was around 3pm). When we took an Uber from Kidani back to MCO it took about 9-10 minutes.

If you can’t get an Uber, the Dolphin usually has Mears black cars standing by on the curb who can take you.

There is no one answer to the question. If there is a big event (sporting, music, etc) in town then the waits could be much longer than usual, especially if you are trying to hail a ride when these events are starting or ending. Uber/Lyft use surge pricing to even out supply and demand.
