i have just realised that i have planned to spend very little time in the studios. from reading trip reports and other threads im beginning to think that i might be passing it off for no reason. i have four and a half days in the parks. how would you split it up. can i go from one park to another or just do separate days?

You can go from one to the other or just spend separate days in each. Im not a big lover of the studios so we tend to spend most of our time in the main disneyland park and just do one day in the studios - this time it was even less - just a few hours

If you want to do Crush coaster you would probably need to go early as the queues only get bigger :goodvibes

In a three day visit, DD and I will typically spend at least 3 hours one day, then most of a morning on another day, in the Studios.

I personally think the Studios is starting to develop a personality of its own - less grand, but more intimate and like an old friend (I'm not explaining that very well, but I know what I mean :rotfl: ).

I really like the studios - yes I know the theming isnt as good (but how could you beat the best "magic Kingdom" park in the world :goodvibes ), but I agree I think the studios is really starting to developing. Spend a few hours there (I'm planning on a day but I've not been since 2006, and I'm planning on doing crush a few times  ) , the shows are great and its nearly all indoors so its good to go if it starts raining

I normally go to the main park for EMH then go to the studios for crush's opening and do TOT and rock n roller and anything thats quiet like armageddon or the tram tour then go back over to the main park, then back over to the studios again about an hour before they close and its a bit quieter lol.

i usually end up spending half a day in the studios on one day to take in the stunt show and animagique.

wow that was kinda waffley! so in summary i basically end up running between parks :rotfl:

Back when I last went in 2004 we spent the 1st afternoon after arriving on the Eurostar in the Studios. We then spent the following morning there (before EMH existed) and then the final afternoon. All in all we spent about a day there.

This year I'd expect it to be far less as although it's now a much better park we now have Kacee with us and will probably be in Fantasyland and Adventureland for the most part.

I'm getting quite fond of the Studios and DD really loves it as it has 2 of her favourite rides - R&R and TOT

Last time we went straight to R&R as our first ride, even before going into the park itself.

We spend more time in the park but do call into the studios at least once each day, length of time depends on which shows/attractions we plan to see.

I also like the first shop to the left on entering the Studios, I've got some nice bargains in there.

The photo studio and face painting is another plus!

what are where is the studios is that?? i have a fear im gonna waste my whole holiday looking for things lol:rotfl:

I actually really love the Studios and would possibly spend the whole day there.

DD loves the rides and shows that they have there and the character meet and greets are not as hectic as what they are in the other park.

When we went to DLP for the day we spent 80% of the day in the Studios with only popping back to the Disneyland Parc for the parade and to ride Casey Jnr.

Hiya

Immediately to your left as you walk into the covered entrance (which I think is called Avenue of the Stars) you will find the photo studio and just past this also on the left is where the face painting is set up (not a booth, but outside a shop)

DD has had one picture taken at the booth and really loves it - she choose to pose as Arielle, sitting on a rock with her toes dipped in the sea, the rippling water effect is great.

Maybe get another one done in December as a nice Xmas momento - maybe I'll even join her! *wants to be Belle*

I've never bought a photo from the rides, they've never been errrm, exactly flattering - thank heavens for photoshop if I DO decide to join in on the pics.;)
