How Long for Refund onto Disney GC?

Can anyone who has received a refund onto a Disney Gift Card give me a sense of how long it took for the refund to appear? There's a possibility that that our RO will get converted to a package, so my first night's deposit (made with gift cards) will be refunded. Is it immediate, so I can use the same gift cards for the $200 deposit for the package, or do I need a back up method of payment?

Hi we only pay with gift cards and have revived free dinning after our trip was paid off . In our case I think it was 7 days .

I've had refunds to gift cards show up within 2-3 days of cancelling. You can always book the package with a hold and have 7 days to make the deposit, at which time the money should be back on the gift cards to use for the package deposit. With that said, I would have a back up deposit option just in case the money isn't back to the gift card within those 7 days as your reservation will automatically cancel if the deposit is not received by the 7th day after booking.

this is exactly what I was going to say! i did the same thing a few months ago took about 2 days to go back on the GC but in the mean time I had the package on hold for me until I got the refund.
