How long for paperwork?

I've already had trouble with my guide (see my previous post) and now I seem to be trouble getting my paperwork. After the webcast last week Thursday we e-mailed our guide wanting to change our contracts to the great deals from the webcast. Well, we still haven't seen the new paperwork so we e-mailed our guide to check on it. He said that the paperwork is held up in legal because of the reaction to the webcast. My question is how much longer should we wait? We started this process almost a month ago and I'm becoming impatient. We've already had to call quality control and I'm not afraid to call them again, I just don't want to complain too much. So I need your input.

:)Wow! We negotiated Saturday a week ago, got the paperwork Tuesday 6/09/09, had it notorized Wednesday, mailed it back Thursday a.m. and in their hands last Friday at 9:30 a.m. I asked to be invited to the webcaast but registration was closed. My guide George did tell me that he was glad we called when we did because the webcast was that Wednesday 6/10/09 and they were expecting to be slammed with calls. I imagine that has happened. But to be working on it a month?? I would ask for a different Guide. Mine was George Baz and he was great, patient and attentive. I am sorry you have had such a negative experience. His supervisor was Ron Allen and then his supervisor is Jim Lewis the President of the DVC Program. I know this because he was helpful so I wrote a letter to them complementing them on his efforts. Due to circumstances he really went above and beyond for us.

Demand a new guide and start over? We would have saved $630 had we waited for the new incentive since we had a referral. We got our points for $94 and now they are $91. For 210 points that a savings of $630 bucks. Maybe there is a divine purpose in all of this struggle for you.

Your paperwork goes through many hands before it's sent to you. Why are you so impatient? Has your Member account been established and points deposited?

We added on, on Monday and we got our points on Tuesday.

My original points are there but we also wanted to add 110 AK. Those points are NOT there. That is why I am nervous. This seems to be such a mess. I just want some assurance that this is normal. I really am trying to be patient but it has been almost a month since we bought our original points and nothing is settled yet.

Sorry that this is happening.

I don't understand something. You stated that you wanted the webcast deal. The webcast was for new prospects, not existing Members. If they gave you the deal, the only price quoited was $16 off for your 110 points. The current incentive for AK is $19 off for 110 points. If you buy 125 points it's $21 off. Wouldn't the current deal be better than the webcast deal?

I also am a little worried we called Tuesday June 9 to add 100 points on at BLT and we still have not received the paperwork, it has been charged to my Disney Visa and it is showing up on the DVC website as SSR. I called my guide and he assured me that he put the papers in as BLT. Right now I am sitting and waiting but I will have to dispute it with my credit card if I don't have the papers by Monday. There is no way I am paying for something I don't have my hands on.

Take a deep breath. :goodvibes

You only paid a deposit and haven't signed anything yet. Give DVD a chance to do their job. If you are that upset now, with all respect, maybe the DVC isn't for you. This whole process is suppose to be an exciting happy time, not a stressful one. What are you going to do when you can't get the reservation that you want or they screw up your points. Are you ready to call at 11 months with the rest of us as we fight for a MK view?

I added on at least 2 weeks ago to get the cruise incentive after I had bought at GCV, and my paperwork still hasn't arrived. My guide said they are swamped and not to worry. The points were in my account already even though I hadn't signed, and I already made ressies with them at DL! ;)

That's great you were able to make a ressie. That is my big concern with mine. I have my initial BLT points but have not rec'd credit for my AK pts and I would like to make a ressie at the beg. of July. I know that July is 2 weeks away but I am guess I'm paranoid. We e-mailed our guide today to ask about the pts. I guess I will just have to wait and see what he says.

I said I was a little worried not that I am Upset and stressed. (I have a large charge on my Credit card for something I don't have but I will not pay it until I have the correct papers received, signed and sent.) My points are not showing correctly. I am waiting and hope that the mistake is in the computer because the price that my guide gave me for down payment and payments is lower than I expected.
Yes, I am prepared to call at 11 months which is why I want the points at BLT instead of SSR.

I would follow up the email with a call to your guide, just mentioning that you are wondering when the updated points will show up and that if there is someone else you need to call, to let you know since you know how busy things are right now.

Good luck!
