How much time should I expect to spend at Coral Reef if I get the first lunch reservation at 11:30? I'm going to book a tour in the Living Seas at 12:30. Do you think lunch will take less than an hour?

I always book the first seating at lunch (done this about 4 times now) and I've never been out in an hour.

You are going to have to tell your server that you want your meal quickly. Coral Reef has got to be the slowest restaurant at WDW. I think they have a black hole that the wait staff falls into.

Ugg. I'll just make sure we know what we want ahead of time and tell them we're in a hurry. If we have to ask for a box as soon as the food comes so be it. Thanks for the warning. :goodvibes

If you're just getting an entree, you may have a shot. But if you're on a plan that gives you appetizer, entree, and dessert, I think I'd plan to ask for app and entree at the same time, then ask for the bill the moment that dessert is delivered. It will definitely be tight.

Like Pakey, I've had first seating several times, and I don't think I've been out in an hour either. And that was without a dining plan, i.e. single course meals. At least once it took 10-15 minutes just to get seated, and that was despite arriving early.
