How Long for Kona Dinner?

I've read some threads that mention 'Ohana tends to get very behind on ADRs late in the evening. Can anyone tell me if Kona is the same way? How much time should I plan for dinner, starting from ADR time? (Trying to time it for a leisurely but not insanely long wait between dinner and the fireworks.)

I would doubt that Kona would have the same lag time because it simply isn't as busy/popular as Ohana. I was there at restaurant opening last Fall and I was finished within an hour. Likely 45 mins start to finish. Of course, all bets are off if you have an ADR on a holiday weekend or other high volume time. Good luck!

Correct, 'Ohana is a zoo, never seated on time. We have eaten at Kona Cafe several times, it is not nearly as crazy as 'Ohana. Funny thing about Kona Cafe, every time we have eaten there, regardless of time of evening, and regardless of how busy the restaurant is (empty vs mostly full), we have always been given a buzzer. But we've never waited more than 5-10 minutes, and then dinner was normal. Figure 60-90 minutes from ADR time.

Ohana can get crazy. Kona can get crowded too but they do a much better job at staying on time from my experiences.

At Kona we have been seated on time, but we have never had a server there who didn't take a very long time servicing the table!

A lot also depends on what you order--apps, drinks, dessert??

But 60-90 minutes sounds pretty close.
