How long for a solo trip?

Hey all you brave solo travelers out there! I've never been by myself before but I am totally intrigued by the idea. A lot of people don't understand why anyone would want to travel alone but it seriously can be just as fun. I took a solo trip to London and Amsterdam this year and it was so refreshing to be in charge of just yourself and to do whatever you want, eat wherever you want, and not have to worry about penny pinchers when you're willing to splurge! Anyhow, I digress....

My real question is how long do you usually leave for a solo trip? I would imagine you could get things accomplished rather quickly in all 4 parks - only doing the rides you want, changing plans whenever, using the single rider line etc. I would imagine it could be all accomplished in 3 or 4 days. So how long do you usually take during a WDW solo trip?

you know you are right I only spend around 3 days at the theme parks...

but I also do other things - shopping at the outlet malls :teeth: , exploring my resort, just relaxing....

My longest solo trip has been three days. Because I go to Florida often, I like to focus on only one or two parks each time I get to WDW.

Coming from the UK I find that 15 days is perfect. I will be going to Seaworld and maybe Busch Gardens and some shopping.

5-7 days is average for me. Anything less than that is too short, and anything more is too long; I find myself getting bored after week.

Everyone is different. Find your own comfort level and have fun! :)

Hi, Ariel! I've travelled solo at least nine times, and usually stay 7-8 nites. Perfect for me!!!! You'll have a maaavelous time!

I like to stay at least a week, but have taken a few month-long solo trips. :goodvibes A longer trip is soooo relaxing. :hippie:

I don't hit the parks hard--I take my time and savor each moment. :cloud9:

The first couple times I did 6 or 7 days. Last fall I did 12 days and it seemed about perfect to take everything slow and have a nice relaxing trip. I did a poll on this subject at one point here is the link to it if you wanna check it out:

i take 5 - 6 days, i can see a whole park an do the rides and shows i want to see in around 6 hours.
i'll be doing my 2nd solo trip in a couple months :woohoo: , i think its more fun by yourself, do whatever whenever you want. :cool1:

I also take 5 - 6 days. The longer you are there the more time you should have to do different things. For example, I've never had time to explore the Boardwalk. This trip I plan to spend a evening there taking in the atmosphere, watching the performers, and go to Jellyrolls. There are more things for you to do than just the parks. Decide what all you think you would like to do and base the number of days for your trip on that.

my first solo trip will likely be this jan and I am thinking 12 days

my bro and his wife and kids may well be down around the same time so I will hopefully get to see them, but it will still be a solo trip

will that be too long? no clue...but it should be fun to find out :)

i just got back late last night from my first solo trip and i left on monday. so that was 6 days 5 nights and had a blast! i had theme park tickets for 3 days and left the other time for shopping, rest and other things that i had planned. it all depends how rushed you want your vaca!
