How long for a refund?

Last week I cancelled a room only reservation. I am wondering how long it usually takes to get the deposit back. It's a pretty hefty deposit so I'm looking forward to the credit on my card!

I’ve always had refunds show up within 2-3 days of cancelling, but it could take 1-2 billing cycles. Disney puts the refund through right away, but how long it takes to show up depends on the processing time of your bank/cc company.

This. We just did a cancellation that was over 5k back in November due to switching to a DVC rental. Disney sends it back quickly it seems, and the rest is up to your card company. We had ours back in less than 5 business days.

On a gift card, I get mine back overnight on a weekday.
