How long does it really take to get to Disney World from Ohio on 77 and then 95 and is it definitely faster going that way as opposed to 75???

It has been a while since we have driven......
If you do Mapquest it tells you to take 77 then to 95. But we never went that way....
We felt we lost time getting to 77 (we are west of Cleveland) and then lost more time going from 95 back west.
It takes you to the east coast of Fl. And the times we drove, we took 75 (this takes you by way of Atlanta) all the way into Fl .... then if I remember right ..... around Ocala we picked up somthing that took us right into WDW.
I remember it taking about 10 hours to Atlanta, then about 6 from there to WDW.
If you are AAA member.... ask them to give you a trip tic for both ways.
Have a safe drive!!! :goodvibes

I'm from North Central OH, and we normally take 77. I think it takes between 16-20 hours depending on traffic, and how long your stops are.

I am from Canton, OH originally and we drove there a lot. We usually drove straight through (multiple drivers) and we'd leave Canton about 3:00 PMish and get into Ft. Wilderness for check in at 1:00 PM the next day. We did always stop in Daytona first for breakfast and then to the flea market for some groceries. So I think about 18 hours. And we took 77 to 95... or 4? I don't really know because I was a kid and never drove it myself, but I know for sure it was 77 LOL :)

I live in Bedford, and I've gone 77 and 75. I think it's much quicker going 77. But I guess it depends on where you coming from. We were able to take route 8 to 77 and it didn't take that long. Going through Atlanta just seemed like it took forever. Maybe because the traffic was just so crazy going through Atlanta. :crazy2:

When we used to drive all the time, before we discovered Amtrak, we first took I75, back in 1977. Its a long way to Cinncinnati before heading south but I77 wasn't built yet. Other trips, later, we down the I77 route, we're from the Youngstown area and it seems to be the quickest, but over a bunch of year, I began to hate the mountains alot. We squeeze in a drive trip few years ago, waited to long to book the train, and it was full, so we had to drive. Since hating the mountains, we decided to do the I75 route. Its much more pleasanter, low rolling hills, alot of 3 lanes. Time wise, I75 is a bit longer, by maybe 3 hours. We used to make the I77 trip to the World in 19 hours, non stop. Hope this helps.

Take 77--16 hours from Canton-stopping for gas, quick meals, and bathroom breaks only. It was 120 miles longer to take 75, plus traffic is heavier on that route. We now take 75 from KY since we have moved, and wish we could have the 77 route back.

Thanks,
That helps us too..... like I said it has been a while since we drove, and DH spends a lot of time in Atlanta, so he knows how to get around all the traffic. And we planned it so we would hit Atlanta at night with very little traffic.
Anyway..... if we decide to drive again.... we will use 77. :thumbsup2
