I don't get them often, but wondered about how long yours last. I cannot make my manicure last more than one week, but after 5 days it starts to bother me because it is no longer perfect. I guess I must be hard on my hands, or is that pretty normal? Pedicures last longer, about three weeks. What about you?

My pedicures will last 1-2 weeks, but a manicure, well that only lasts about a week, if I'm lucky! lol

I can stretch my pedicure to 3 weeks, but rarely do. I get a pedi every other week and my mani done every week. I always get light/nude toned polish, because I cannot stand worn/chipped polish and the lighter the color the less that shows.

I'm the same as you. A pedicure lasts about 3 weeks. A manicure is less than a week so I don't even bother with them anymore.

I rarely get manicures because they never last more than 1 week if that long. Maybe every 3 months I let someone do my nails just to get all the dead skin off.

Now my pedicure will last 3 weeks at least and maybe longer. I usually get them done every 3 weeks in the summer. In the winter forget it no one is going to be seeing my piggies.

pedicure lasts 3 weeks-I love pedicures.nothing better than having your feet soaking in warm water

manicure=2-3 weeks..have acrylcs- hate getting them done.but a necessary evil

Manicure for me is 2 weeks

I've never had a pedicure, I have an odd Non-obsession about feet.. the Freak me out so I don't let anyone touch them nor do I let anyone touch me with their feet..

DH teases me and I freak out :scared: I even seriously had to shower when DH put his foot on my leg once

A week is about the limit for me on a mani and like others, I can get a good three out of a pedi.
Less than that and something ain't right:scared:

I´ve never had a pedi in my life so I can´t comment on that.

I never have mani´s either unless when I have gel nails put on and then they last for 4 weeks.

This looks like a good place to ask a question.

I only get manicures and pedicures done occasionally. Every time I have gotten a manicure I mess it up getting into the car. I sit with my hands in the dryer thing for as long as they set the timer but I still get a "ding" somewhere.

How to you get home without messing up your nails???

Manis last a week for me if I'm lucky (and I always do natural nails). Pedis are a bit better, usually 2-3 weeks, and I can wear darker colors on my toes.

For the PP who said that she can't stand feet, I hear ya! Feet *totally* ooge me out! ::shudder::

I go about once a month for pedicures. My manicures can last about 10 days if every other night I put on a clear coat on top. Doing this usually makes it so they don't chip.

I get LCN on my nails...lasts a good 3 weeks. Regular pedi lasts 3 weeks.

I do my own nails regularly. I had a manicure once many moons ago.

Last month before our trip I treated myself to both a manicure and pedicure. I was amazed at how long they lasted - practically chip free! Manicure was 10 days (and had one nail chipping slightly); pedicure was 5 weeks, no chips -all despite pools, water park, ocean, sand, etc. They used alcohol on my nails before they put polish on, then clear coat afterward. I finally did my own toenails last night just because they were getting long, LOL, but the polish was still ok! :thumbsup2

You should walk out virtually dry, have you tried another salon? If you absolutely love the place, you could consider bringing along your own quick dry top coat. I can't live without (literally) the top coat called "Out the Door" by INM. The stuff is just awesome. I use it even when I don't need a quick dry. It really helps the polish last and gives a good, hard, finish.

I'm able to get my manicures to last about 3-4 weeks and I'll give you the hint how. Get clear nail polish - have it on hand and every night before going to bed, put a fresh coat on it. This way, any chipping that happens, would happen to the clear coat, and not the color. By the end, I'm usually able to pull off the entire nail polish from each nail - easy, peasy!

I gave up getting manicures over a year ago--they chip too easily, and I've determined that something in the polish weakens my nails. They are actually better off left bare nekkid. ;)

A pedicure lasts me about three weeks, a month in the winter. You reminded me I need to make an appointment for one next weekend!

Manicures last me about a week; Pedis last 3 weeks. Not because the polish has chipped, but because of the new growth. It just looks raggedy after 3 weeks.
