Our trip is less than a month away...have been coming to the DIS daily since I first found it in July. What happens after our vacation? Will I be drawn back here? Is there a cure for DIS withdrawal?

(Hubby says this trip to WDW won't be repeated for another 15 years.... :sad2: ....guess I might have to find a new hubby.......)

After your vacation you hang out on the community board for a while, pretending that your won't be going back anytime soon. Then you start to hear about new rides, new character meals, the fun everyone else is having. Then you go back to Disney next year! :)

<---- By the look of my "join date" it looks to be at least 7 years ...

Well, we haven't had a Disney vacation since June 2001, and I'm still here... I'll let you know when the DIS addiction ends. :rolleyes1

this statement is DEFINATLY true. DF and i went to the Dis last year with his family and thought it would be the last time for 2 years(we are going down next year to start wedding plans) but we missed it so much and so many things have changed within a year, that we broke down and are now going in December! luckily everything was pretty cheap.

my GOD we're obsessed....that darn Mouse!

no....you'll just go without him lol

Who knows? It may be HUBBY that falls in love with WDW and starts casually mentioning another trip again soon. :rolleyes1

Oh, there's no cure for this addiction -- it's not like that wimpy heroin. You join up to help plan your trip, start to find out about all sorts of things you could never learn from a guide book ('They hide paintbushes on Tom Sawyer's Island? COOOOOOL!!!'), go on your trip and have the best time of your life, come back to the boards to share your experiences and get support for your savage case of PDWS (Post-Disney Withdrawal Syndrome), and start to build the excitement for the next trip.

And check it out -- the Tag Fairy had her own comment on your first post in this thread!! Lucky you!

We joined right before our last Disney trip. I thought I'd stop after the trip was over and not come back until a little before our next one. Nope! I am an official DISboard adddict! I get up every morning, open my email, open the DIS and go on with my day. I've learned so many cool things from these awesome people! :goodvibes I hope my addiction never ends. :teeth:

15 days to go for me, and I'm already starting to think about when to go next year and where to stay! DH doesn't know this yet, but he loves it as much as I do, so he'll be OK with it, if not he can have some peace and quiet for a week! ;)

Then after the trip, you will come back here for us to help you conjur up a reason that you need to go back.

BTW, OP, did you notice what the TF wrote at the very bottom of your post? What a sneaky little devil she/he/it is!! :thumbsup2

The only cure is more Disney. Our first trip together (dh and I) was in 12/01. We planned to go back in 12/04. Instead, we went again in 11/02, 6/03, 12/03, 9/04, 1/06, 8/06, and we're headed down again in 36 days making for 8 trips in 5 years (with another trip already planned for next year...) It's a sickness, and I don't want to recover from it!

Addiction? I don't think so!

This is more of a way of life!

:faint:

Well, I've been addicted to WDW since about '96. I've been addicted to the DIS since 2000. No plans on fighting it! :disrocks:

Addicted? Who's addicted? I'm not addicted. I can stop coming here anytime I want. Like even right now. See, I can walk away from my computer and never come back...

...

Um. Is there a Disney 7 Step Program? :rolleyes1

I've been reading these boards for a while and I didn't sign on until recently. We've been on a Disney trip at least every 3 years and we are so addicted to Disney! Also, I love reading everyone great trip reports.....it's like being there with them

That'll teach me to read newest to oldest (I read the newspaper back page to front page, too!)

Does that count as an "almost tag"???

(thank you, Tag Fairy-- a little belatedly)
