How long does it usually take for reply from Carli D'Agostino?

It is Trash and Towel, no such thing as Trash and Tidy. Even if this was done before for the OP, it is not the norm and she should not have a complaint about that. The sink issue is the only valid complaint.
Hi, This is WHY I HATE to post PROBLEMS!! When I did call to ask WHY (I did NOT complain) about the Tand T (call it whatever you like) I was told they would send someone right up, I told them NO I had come back to the room with my family to rest. They offered to do it the next day,but if you followed my chain of events you would realize that we were checking out the next day. I was surprised when I returned to my room and ONLY the trash had been emptied, and when I called on this I was NEVER told "that is all that they are supposed to do". Joan

Perhaps you were never told that, but it was mentioned in an older Vacation Magic when they changed the name from "Trash & Tidy" to "Trash & Towel."

Also from the Member Website:

With Trash & Towel service, Housekeeping will:
  • Empty trash and replace liners in trash bins.
  • Provide fresh bathroom linens.
  • Replace shampoo, facial soap and bath soap.
  • Replenish facial tissues, paper towels and toilet paper.
  • Replenish coffee, sugar, cream and sweeteners.
  • Replenish dishwashing liquid, dishwashing detergent, sponges and laundry detergent as needed in one-, two- and three-bedroom Vacation Homes.

Last time we stayed at DVC (OKW last Jan), there was a small tent card in our room with cleaning schedule info on it. Did you have this in your room? It mentioned that 7 nights or less, only T&T on day 4. 8 nights or more, full cleaning day 4 and T&T on Day 8. I think the card told was was included with each.

Also, did it have anything in the resort newsletter that you get when you check in?

We had an issue at BCV in early July where we had reserved a dedicated 2 bedroom and come to find out that they had no other dedicated 2bedrooms available for the first night of our stay. Long story short, we did end up contacting Carli's team who then referred us to the Executive offices. I received a phone call about 5 weeks or 6 weeks after the original email and was able to discuss the issues directly.

No need to get upset. Others can not learn from your experience if misinformation is allowed to be shared on the forums. Or in your case expectations for something that as members we don't get.

As ChuckS stated at one time it was called Trash and Tidy and since all they did was take out the trash and leave fresh towels and tolietries I am sure they changed the name to prevent confusion.

I was going to suggest you contact someone else that might be able to help you but it seems you are handling it.

.

:confused3 At BWV we always get the "tidy" part - they make the beds, straighten up, etc. :confused3

Apparently, some members to receive this "get".

What bothers me, as if anyone cares, is the serious and legitmate problems are overshadowed on this thread by the technicalities of the "Trash and Tidy/Towel".

Thanks In Advance.

we moved in and out of four rooms .We had issues in all of them.
I found that the only way to be sure of getting attention was to talk to the duty floor manager who is usually out in the looby. He told me that he was there to give a presence for people to talk to rather than some back office faceless manager.
In talking to one of the more experienced repair men he made it clear that the maintenance work is now being farmed out, asother businesses are doing to outside contractors who are not familiar with the buildings. he felt that the attention to detail was being lost.
Another engineer came in for the second shift and said he had a list of 100 calls to deal with many of them repeats.

Hi, Thank You for this information. If I have a problem(that needs immediate attention)on a future stay I will be sure to go downstairs and talk to the floor mananger. It is also interesting to see that the maintainence has changed,as this is the first time I have encounted such poor service at the BCV. Hi, NO,(only 1 was done) I only had trash taken out. The dirty towels may have all been in the washer/dryer,because with 5 of us all towels are usually dirty and I tend to do a load daily. It truely looked as if they had started to T&T and then got called away and never came back to finish. :confused3 Joan

No, I did not see any card and I am pretty good at reading all material provided in the room.I have stayed at DVC resorts enough times to know that it is day 4 for T&T and day 8 full cleaning.(although it did take a few years for me to remmeber this!) And the only resort newsletter I got was Disney's Yacht and Beach Club Resorts which I do not believe refers to BCV at all. Joan PS-If anyone could teach me how to do MULTIPLE QUOTES in one reply I would appreciate it! Thanks, Joan

Hi,

I hope you get Carly, and I would like to know what her response to you is. The room maintenance issues you experienced were terrible, and should not be tolerated by anyone, whether at DVC or some hotel.

Also, it is a consistent problem that the STAFF does not know what they are supposed to do on trash and towel day. When we were at BW last year, they just took out our trash and left us towels. I later called and told them they needed to leave soap and shampoo and the housekeeper told me "no, you only get trash and towels changed." She also told me if we wanted more shampoo or soap, they would charge me.

I subsequently found out after reading my vacation magic, that the housekeeping staff was wrong.

Good luck!

Not on trash and towel day, only on Full Cleaning day.

Or at least I should say, we've never had more than the T&T stuff and no one should expect to have more than that on T&T day.

Nope, Joan, you're still wrong. Full cleaning on day 4 and T&T on day 8. If you stay less than 8 nights, you get T&T on day 4. It really doesn't make much sense to completely clean the room the day before most people leave and then clean it again for the next guest. Better to clean it up half way during the guests' longer stay. Then just refresh the towels and remove the trash four days later.
