How long does it take?

I am going to the Mickey's Backyard BBQ. I'm staying at POR. Is there one bus that goes from POR to BBQ or do I transfer? Can some one help? We have 11 of us going and I wanted to make sure I plan this right.

from POR you are gonna have to go to a park or DTD to make your way to the BBQ. the easiest would be to go to MK and take the boat over. good luck!

Disney Queen has given you good advice.
Are you planning on doing a park that day???
If so, I would make Magic Kingdom my park of choice that afternoon and when you are ready take the leisurely boat ride over to Fort Wilderness and then you will be at the resort where the BBQ is.
When you are ready to go back you should be able to take the boat back to MK and then take a bus back to your resort.
