How long does it take you to REALLY see WS?

We would like to see World Showcase in its entirety. We want to spend time in every country and hit all of the kidcot stations as well as see some of the entertainment. Can this really be done in 1 day? Does anyone know how long it takes to walk from Canada to Mexico? I'm just trying to get a visual of how far apart the countries are. Thanks!

Hi, it usually takes my DH and I all day. We get there as soon as they open and are there until the park closes. We like to see everything and have lunch and dinner at sit down restaurants to relax. If you want to see everything and be able to go into the shops I would def. say it is an all day affair. Have fun. :earsgirl:

We did the World Showcase in a day in May 2004. It definitely took almost the entire time it was opened, and we feel like we barely scratched the surface of some of the countries. We started at 11:00 am and didn't finish until around 8:00 pm. We did go to every Kidcot station, and stopped for something quick to eat (counter serve or candy from a gift shop) at each country. We saw Off-Kilter, British Invasion, and a Flower Power concert. We didn't do any of the movies at the countries, though we rode in Norway and Mexico. We browsed some of the gift shops but by no means all of them. My daughter and I could have spent a lot more time there, but we were compromising with "the boys" on that trip. I guess it depends on how much you want to do.

We normally take the morning to see and do FW then go to WS for lunch and do as much of the countries as possible of course I have to go into every shop and stop and watch performers and we normally stay until Illuminations and still dont have everything done and come back another day so I would say have atleast a day and a half set aside....

On our 1st trip with the kids we thought we'd "gloss over" WS, but it ended up being a favorite!
I only planned part of a day at Epoct thinking the kids wouldn't be too interested in WS, but they loved it. We also did all of the Kidcot stations so they could decorate their masks and they each got a passport book and had to get it stamped and signed in each country.
We did a few shops but we could have spent a day just in WS.
As far as walking goes I don't remember exact times, but I do remember thinking it was LONG.
DW and I had to hurry from one end to the other to go out the international gateway to catch the Illuminations cruise. I didn't think we'd make it in time!

To really see & do everything in WS you 're going to need a day+
We did Passports one year - took from open til close & the end was VERY rushed. The last 2-3 countries were basically "stamp, sign & run"

I spend days in WS now, esp when I go alone or split up to do my own thing.

Wow - we hop all over the place and generally end up at WS quite a few times in our trip. if i had to take a crack at how much time collectively it would take to fully enjoy WS for us i would say at least one full day and a half - perhaps two full days. there are so many things to do there to fully experience them all, you would need more than one day. (especially since WS does not open until 11 - do you think this is so Epcot guests are forced to check out FW for a few hours OR because the college kids who are working at WS are too hung over from the night before to get up and get that park open at 8 or 9? ;) )

The problem with trying to see it all in one day is that most of the entertainment is late afternoon/evening. It would be very hard to cover it all in one day. If you have hopper tickets, you might want to consider spending afternoon/evening there twice. We like to eat in Epcot and end a lot our days there eating and catching a show or two.

To help your visual of how close the countries are......
They are one right after another, just like real countries-- except it doesn't take you NEARLY as long to walk through WS countries compared to real countries. I'd say if you didn't stop for anything, you could walk all the way around WS in 15 minutes. (just a guess, because I've always stopped to see things)

Good advice from tar heel. We're doing the same thing on our next trip... spending about 3 half-days at Epcot. You might plan one full day at Epcot and then 2 afternoons/evenings. Just depends how much time you have.

The entertainment is the issue. You might have events that you want to see going on at the same time, or 15 minutes - and half a world apart - that you're trying to get to. Study the various descriptions of the live entertainment and Steve Soare's web site to get an idea of if you really want to see ALL the entertainment.
