How long does it take to walk from Harbor Entrance to DL gate?

In the past we would always be dropped off at The Disneyland Hotel and walk through DTD to get to the DL gate. Would it be less time to walk in from the Harbor entrance?

The walk to the gate is MUCH shorter from the Harbor entrance that walking from the DLH- the gates are basically right there on the other side of security. It's pretty much the same distance from the ticket booths to the gates on both sides of the esplanade. But on the Harbor side, those ticket booths are right inside security. So, that said, the security lines at the Harbor side are typically quite a bit longer, especially first thing in the morning. So overall time may not be hugely different at peak security line times but the walk itself, once through security, will be MUCH shorter.

Ha! I should have been more clear- there are ticket booths on both sides of the esplanade and I meant the gates were pretty much the same distance from the booths on their respective sides.
