How long does it take to see The Living Seas?

Here's my EPCOT morning plan:
- Arrive at opening.
- DH takes DS to Character Connection while I jog over to Soarin' and get FP's for us.
- I meet them outside the CC and we head to The Living Seas, ride the new Nemo ride and hang out until Crush opens at 10:00.

I've heard that Crush has long lines so I want to hit it first thing. Do you think this will work out well? If we're in The Living Seas at 9:15... is there enough to see/play with until 10:00? Last year it was closed and I don't remember the last time I was in there (years ago). We're going at the end of the month.

Thanks.

I think you'll have enough to do until the first showing of Crush. I would also keep an eye on the line for crush. I bet even for the first show,it's crowded.

WHEN are you going?

The new "Nemo Ride" may or may not be operating first-thing if its still in "soft-open" mode during your trip.

Also, we don't KNOW that Turtle Talk with Crush won't actually start opening at 9am after the "official" opening of "The Seas with Nemo and Friends" pavilion (formerly called "the Living Seas" pavilion).

So whatever we say now, might be different in the future.

But, yes, even if there is no Clamshell Ride open in the morning, there is still plenty to see before you must begin standing in the queue for a 10am Turtle Talk show (that queue will start forming sometime between 9:30 and 9:45am).

We were at Epcot on Monday this week and the new Nemo ride will open in 2 weeks, we were told. I would go ahead and line up for Crush, as we waited about 20 minutes by 10-10:30. There's plenty to see--have a great time! :)

We'll be at EPCOT on 11/1.

Good point that maybe when the new ride opens they'll move the first show of Crush up to 9:00 am. That would be cool. I've never quite understood why they waited an hour to open it.

why go back and meet them at CC . you'll be right next to the living seas already. id make them meet you there.

Good idea!

We've been in Epcot at busy times and not had a long wait at all for the character connection -- you can do it later in the day. Hanging out at Living Seas to get in line for Crush may be your best bet first thing -- that line can get really long and squished in there.
Or you might all want to go right to Soarin' and ride it first, then get a second fastpass, then hang out at Living Seas to wait for Crush -- if you really do get to Epcot before/at opening. (or do Soarin' then have one of you jog over to TT or MS:G for fastpasses and come back to see Crush).

Another thing about CC -- it's more fun if you're all there, so you can get PhotoPass photos of all of you together with some of the characters.
And, please look for Figment in the little room to the left of HISTA -- or ask a CM if he's not there. We're on a campaign to keep that character available for visits -- we love him!

what are Figment's hours? the past 2 or 3 times that we've gone, he wasn't there.

This is my plan. I adore Soarin - we'll get FP and do standby first thing, then go to Living Seas for Turtle Crush.

We hit CC on a crowded Sunday at late morning and there was a 5 min line.

ETA - my guys spent a solid hour or more in there looking around while they were waiting for us at Dive Quest. The manatees are usually very entertaining.
