How long does it take to get a replacement DVC card?

We are leaving October 29th. I called about 3 weeks ago to get a new card but have not received it. My husband has his. Can we activate our AP with only one card. I know they issue a temporary at SSR but we are arriving late on the 29th and have to activate the pass and pick up our dining card at Epcot and do not need any additional stops if possible.
 
his card should be enough for both of you.

It took DVC forever - I had to call around 6 times and final about year after my first call I got one. the next week I got another one. :rotfl: :rolleyes:

if you have your membership number that should be enough.

if the person has any doubts they call MS.
 
I called in mid-March, called again late April and finally got it mid-May.
 
When DW didn't have a card, we called to ask for one, so they ordered a replacement. We got "replacements" for both cards, then a few weeks later, we got them again! Now I have 3 and DW has 2. I guess we know who's in with MS! :snooty: :p
 

This seems to be one of DVC's problem areas. I called in 10/04, 12/04, 3/05, 5/05, 7/05 and 9/05 for a single replacement card. I am still waiting. Nevertheless, you will only need the one to get the AP's.
 
I think it depends on who you speak to on the phone :) I needed 2 replacements ( 2 seperate contracts) and eventually received one but still not the other.
 
TOO long!! :rolleyes: Took me like a year! When we first received our cards, it didn't take too long, but they had no backs, just white! So then it took like 6 months to get new ones, but they only sent one for my husband! so then begin my years long wait. It would only be a problem, if I needed to use my car, without him with me, while in the parks. And when I wanted to call them, I didn't have the phone number in front of me (back of card).
Seems like just before I received my card finally, and talking to MANY dvc cm, some nice lady explained to me. Probably what happens is, every time when I'm calling, and asking when they will be in, they tell me, they will put a "rush" on them, it's a NEW order, so then the previous one gets canceled. Who knows if that's true, but I then stopped asking about them, and they finally came in. :confused3
 
I called on 9/28/05 from Disney, pool water reeks havoc on member cards, and it came to my home on 10/12/05.
 
DH called last week for a replacement for his card. Based on this thread, I expected it to be several weeks (and several phone calls) before the new card showed up. Replacement cards for both of us arrived on Wednesday. It took about 10 days.
