How long does it take to drive........

Hi Guys

..to AKL from the Holiday Inn on I-Drive.

Ive booked our breakfast at Boma for 7.30am on our 1st morning,it will be a Sunday and our 1st trip to WDW,i have a map that friends brought back for us on their last trip,so i "think" i know how to get there,but not sure how long it will take us I would hate for us to be late

We will first park at AKL while we eat and then drive over to AK hopefully for opening.I was hopeing to park at AKL for the whole day and get the Disney Transport bus to the park but apparently you can't do that they only give you a pass for while you are eating is this right?

Yes - the car park pass at AKL is only valid for a couple of hours (they put an expiry time on your pass) - but it is free.

To be on the safe side I would allow 30 mins (drive is probably 25mins ish)
assuming you go I4 with no queues.

Ive visited AKL several times and have never been given a parking pass. The security guard just says "Enjoy your visit" and off we go! I think as it is a resort so far out, they arent as strict on the parking here. If you valet park ($6) then you can leave the car as long as you want. If you are unsure, ask the attendants, they will tell you what the parking restrictions are that day as it does seem to vary, depending on how busy they are.

I'll check out the Valet park that may be the best way to go as we have to pay to park at AK anyway.
