How long does it take to do Universal?

We're a family with 2 girls. How long would it take for us to do Universal? One whole day, morning to night? Daytime only (9 to 5)? Gone by mid-afternoon? Thanks.

When do you plan to go? The crowds vary like Disneyland... and do you want to do everything? If so, it will take ALL day to see all shows and do all attractions/rides in my opinion. We have annual passes and often go for a few hours at a time but during that time we only do the studio tour and then one or two shows. We don't have front of the line passes so we wait like everyone else and if it is a busy weekend they are crowded....
