Just wondering how long it takes to receive room service once you place your order? Is most everything included in the price of the cruise or does it cost extra? Just wondering so that I can budget for next years magical vacation!!!

I wanna say it took about 15 minutes for us to get our order from Room Service. The price of food from room service is included in the price of the cruise. If you get sodas or drinks from room service there will be a charge. You also want to budget for tips.

Just to add to the above post....you can order milk, coffee, tea, lemonade and I believe juices from rooms serivce and it is no extra charge. I think only soda and alcoholic drinks would cost extra.

We have always found them to be very prompt. There are times when they get delayed, but for the most part it is about 15 minutes or so.

We always bring a stack of singles with us and keep it in the night table drawer...this way any of the family in the cabin can order and tip without having to find mom and dad for tip money.

Is this pretty much the case if you place a breakfast order the evening before as well? Are they pretty prompt in delivering it about the time requested?

We're planning on an early morning excursion at Grand Cayman (of course presuming weather cooperates!) and thought this might be a good alternative to trying to get everyone ready, to breakfast and on our way. We could eat as we're getting ready.

We ordered breakfast each morning on our recent cruise and the service was VERY prompt...even a little early. When you arrive, there will be breakfast order tags in your desk drawer...you simply fill them out with your preferred delivery time and hang them outside your door the night before!;)

We too have found the breakfast pre-orders to be VERY prompt...so much so that we often use it as our wake-up call. Several times they have been running early. If they are, they will call ahead so you can be sure that you're "decent" ;)

Sadly it has taken months and months. I leave my breakfast card outside my door and nobody takes and brings me breakfast. I don't understand what the problem is. I mean, isn't this lifetime room service?:(

Tiiiigergirl,
I thought the same thing about those "Do Not Disturb" signs. If they work at sea, why not at land? But my brother (who I affentionately call "Randy" as in "Quaid"...think of the Vacation movies) keeps showing up at our door anyway. :jester:
