Hi there! Can anyone help me with this? I made reservations on 2/10 and mailed out my deposit with my credit card information three days later. I realized today, 10 days after I had mailed it, Discover Card has not posted any payments from Disney. I was concerned because my deposit deadline is tomorrow, 2/24. So I called CRO and they had no clue as to why my deposit had not yet been posted, so I got a three day deposit extension. I have a feeling that the payment will not be recieved, even with that extension. I asked CRO if I could just give them my Discover Card info over the phone to cover my deposit, and the woman I spoke to said "no" because I would run the risk of being billed twice. Has this happened to anyone before? I never had this problem! Do you think I should just cancel this reservation and start over? Thanks for any help and suggestions!

With a 3 day extension, your payment is due on the 27th? Then I would call your Discover card on the 26th, and see if it has posted. If not, call CRO and ask for another extension, and ask to speak to a manager, or someone who can connect you to the department that handles ressies.

When I made a ressie, I never received the confirmation to send in my deposit, and wound up doing it over the phone. Once doing that, I received a confirmation of my deposit within a week.

It's possible that there is just an overload of paperwork, or maybe your paperwork was lost.

CRO has been slacking off in unprecedented ways.

I made a reservation months ago, and asked if I had to put down the deposit or they'd bill me. They told me I could wait to receive the bill, so I did. I called after two weeks because I only received a welcome brochure, and my ressies had been canceled for lack of payment within the alloted time!

So, call them ASAP and encourage them to write somewhere that your payment is in the way.

If your payment is not received soon, I would call and have it taken on my credit card over the phone. Yes you run the risk of putting down two payments, but that is better then having the reservation xcld due to non-payment. Remember with the mail system the past several months, things are taking a lot longer to be mailed and in some cases getting misplaced.

When I made my resevation for a upcoming trip over the phone, I put the deposit on another card besides Disney or AMEX and it appeared on my confirmation a few days later. If you are going during a very busy time, I would suggest calling them and doing a payment over the phone. If you end up double paying, either dispute one of the charges or just leave it. That much less to pay in the end.

Thanks everyone for the help and feedback. Check this out... I decided to call Discover Card yesterday Feb 23, just to see if maybe they recieved any transactions from Disney. The woman said that yes, there had been an authorization from Disney World from February 16th, however, it was cancelled by them, and reauthorized on Feb 23 at around 10:30AM. Isn't that funny? I called CRO yesterday around 10:00AM to check on my deposit. Maybe it's coincedence, but it seems like they posted my deposit right after I called to check up on it. I have no idea why they would have cancelled the first transaction. Oh well. At least they have my deposit now...

Has anyone had trouble getting a confirmation letter?
I paid off our June trip back in early January and can not
get a confirmation sent out. I have called twice and still
nothing. The second time I call (last Tuesday) I talked to
a very "unhappy with her job" agent. We'll see if I get
it this week ??????

clm3, I just got off the phone with CRO. I called because I haven't received anything to show that I have paid the deposit on my ressie for June. The CM I spoke with said that I probably would not get anything else from them until time to pay the balance due ( I booked thru Disney Club). The balance is due 21 days out and she said I would probably get something about 45 days out to remind me to pay. I asked if I would get anything after that to show that I'm paid in full and she said probably not. This is my first time having to pay in full before the trip so I don't know if that is the norm. But when we've just made ressies thru CRO we always received two statements - one showing the original ressie and another showing balance due after deposit was paid. I know people do the pay-in-advance thing all the time but not getting any kind of paperwork to show it is paid kind of makes me nervous. I guess I will have to take credit card statements and cancelled checks to show that it is paid just in case I have a problem at check-in.:(

I paid in full over the phone and then request a copy of my itinerary (since I had made so many changes). The copy that was sent after my payment was made, did not show the payment, though I know it is paid. In fact, some of the itineraries I received after some of my changes did not even show the deposit. I would just call and double check, then make a note of the CMs name on your itinerary just in case.
